Overall a fun game, top down shooters are an easy way to win over my heart and you did lol :)

Personally I didn’t love the ammo mechanic, i could be wrong but it seemed like more didn’t spawn in, so you had a finite amount to manage from the start without having any idea how long you’re doing that for. I don’t think the idea of having to continually move around for some reason is a bad one by any means, though, nor is requiring players to aim well. I just think it could’ve been done with positive incentives (get this powerup to make your bullets do more damage for x shots) vs negative incentives (get this pickup or else you can’t shoot). I think that would make it feel fun and elective, I want to get the thing cause it makes me stronger, while right now it was more like a chore, I have to get this thing to keep playing. Mechanically balance wise it could effectively end up being the same game. Of course, it’s all just a matter of taste!

Obviously more abilities, guns, enemies, etc. could make it better, but it was solid enough, played smooth, decent audio. I liked the particles though wish they had been recolored to match the enemies. I also found it wouldn’t shoot consistently but i’m like 95% sure it’s cause of using a trackpad. I’ll play a round on my desktop in a few minutes to make sure that’s the case (edit: indeed it was just my trackpad’s fault). It’s a really solid entry over all, congrats!

Basic and fun game, the art work isn´t the best but the other things were very good, i liked the mechanic of the bullets. Very well done!

GAMEPLAY
Fun frantic shooter that is simple to play but challenging to master. Especially at the harder levels. The game requirement to constant move to find ammo, enhances the gameplay. Visibility of the crosshair could be improved with a different color. The black was not really well visible for me. It's nice that there are different types of enemies. Makes it more interesting.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The self-made graphics were good and cohesive, complemented by cute animations that added to the visual appeal.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
The background music was enjoyable and suited the game's fast-paced nature.

INNOVATION
The game was not particularly innovative but executed its mechanics well.

THEME
The use of COVID as a metaphor for isolation is a clever concept for the theme.

Overall a well made game jam entry. Top!

Controls felt good and the reload mechanic made it an interesting challenge where you had to stay close to a pickup without letting it get swarmed. Gameplay was easy to understand and when I died I felt it was because of my lack of skill, rather than the game being unfair.
With a bit more polish, this could be a really solid game, well done!

The gameplay was very simple but still fun. I like the reload mechanic so that you can't just spam bullets mindlessly At some point, it feels quite hard, so I don't think I reached the end. But overall it was a fun little game :)

The game feel is nice, the squish/squash animations are very effective, its quite hard even on easy so I didnt finish it but the gameplay is quite fun, nice concept aswell.

The gameplay is very unique and fun to play! But the SFX was too loud on my headphone.

Played and rated!

The gameplay was fun it was interesting to plan roads to reload the bullets, the small enemies were fun to attack and flickshot at, enjoyed it a lot :)

The art style and audio could be improved but it's a good starting point.

Would appreciate if you try out and rate our game as well:

Fun simple top down shooter, got really hard at round 9 on hard just getting overwhelmed with the thin and fast enemies. I think having upgrades that change your attack, movement, or enemy behavior would keep things more interesting after a few rounds, but pretty fun game! Also the Call of Duty Zombies round start sound made me laugh haha

Awesome to play another Godot game! Simple but effective top-down shooter. I found the fast moving teal guys particularly challenging, but I had fun, I think I made it up to about round 9 on medium difficulty.

In terms of improvements I think some gun variety would help keep the gameplay feeling fresh after a few rounds.

I enjoyed my time with this, nice work!
