I really enjoyed the atmosphere you created, the graphics have a unique style, which I believe gives the game a solid identity.
In the beginning, it was quite challenging to figure out how to proceed. I think one of the main things missing during the gameplay was clearer guidance on our objective and what we needed to do. Perhaps a short introduction level that introduces the objective and enemies would be enough to give players a general idea of the mechanics.
The music you used fits the atmosphere perfectly, that was another element I really liked.
I also felt a bit of a lack of scene variation, but I completely understand that time constraints likely played a part (my game faced a similar issue).
Lastly, a reset button or even the screen going dark until everything resets would be a great addition to make the game flow more smoothly when you lose.
Overall, great game, nice work, and best of luck in the jam!
Fun little escape game😊
GAMEPLAY
Trying to find the exit wasn’t always easy, but it was rewarding when I succeeded. The spheres indicating direction or zoom-out were helpful. This also gave me the hint that I should be looking for an exit somewhere. The nasty little creatures trying to stop you were cute & well-designed and added a challenge. A retry button would have been handy, and perhaps a bit more guidance for the player at the start. In 3 days, you can’t do everything of course, but it was a solid effort for the jam.
VISUALS
The faceted graphics were nice—simple but effective and self-made. The creatures were cute wit the ears, though it might also be interesting to replace them in a future update with other models that better match the atmosphere. And add some extra's to the environment for more ambiance.
AUDIO
The background music suited the atmosphere and was nice to the ears
THEME
The theme was only lightly touched upon. Think that could have been a little bit more.
Overall, a good effort for this jam. Keep it going like that 💪
Thank you very much for the feedback! I wanted to make the player feel a bit lost regarding the mechanics and the map, but you're right that a bit more guidance at the beginning wouldn't hurt. Thanks for hosting the jam!
Grate start try not to get quot. Feel like a prototype there are many free asset on the Unity stare that can spice up the game.
Nice submission for such a short time. Controls feel smooth and nice. A tutorial would have been great as well as a quick restart button in Game Over screen. I liked the atmosphere but I felt a bit lost while playing.
Its cool that u made this 3d game in such a short amount of time!
Take care!
nice game those red guys are relentless. I could not figure out how to get out of the level . I found a yellow orb . but did not know what to do next. can you help me get to level 2 .
Please, check out my game too, I would love some feed back and a rating when you get some time.
If you touch the yellow orb it should point you to the level exit! Thanks for playing I'm going to try yours!
ok cool I will give it another try.
There wasn't a lot of player feedback, so it was not easy to play. Except from that, I had fun playing this challenging game.
I wanted to let the player discover the mechanics instead of explaining them, but you're right that it could be made easier... I'll think about it, thanks for playing!
On level 3 I was born trapped between rocks ;-;
Oh no, in level 3 when you almost had it! Hope you enjoyed it though!
The background track goes really well with the mood. I also love the low poly sprites, the one with ears is cute. I think a way to restart after losing + speed boosts found throughout the plains would be great additions for a future version!
Thanks for the feedback!
Cool game! The main character reminded me of the sixth of Little Nightmares. It's a pity that there are no textures, but even so the characters and environment looked as they should.
Thank you!
