Welcome to The Blind Jaskier, a basement speakeasy in Prohibition era New York.
On the first floor, you run a soda shop as a front for your illegal establishment.
As the owner, make decisions on who to let in, how to restock your supply, and keep your operation financially afloat.

The graphics are amazing - an original concept that really makes the game stand out! I really liked the passwords, too. Sometimes it didn't feel like the options made a difference to gameplay, and it would've been nice to see different ending cards for different outcomes. Great game overall though!

Very slick presentation - love the Cotton Club 20s style font for the titles.
Interesting trying to sort out the possible stooges from the real customers - anyone on the guest list was let in, and anyone else who came close to the password, I let in too.
Unfortunately, even though I bought in the best hooch, I managed to poison all my customers and lost.

At least I didn't get raided :).

The graphical style is really well done with the illegal bar below the shop.
Maybe some more clues of what each option is going to do in the morning section would help, and it would be good if the customer was highlighted in the guest list - I had to scan the list for each customer which became tedious pretty quickly.

It defintely has potential - maybe you could expand the management role to include breaking up fights, paying off the police etc

Very nice game! I like how you interpreted the realities of the time as game mechanics. My only gripe is that the text was hard to read at times. Overall, nice job!

Developer

Thank you for playing!
Was that in the web version or the downloadable one? Was the size the problem or the text bleeding in the background?

It's the background when reading the names of the guests, it's a bit of an eye-sore to me because I have to constantly compare with the list.

Developer

Gotcha! I'll see what we can do about it! Thank you so much.

Really liked the graphics and the way you combined 3d with 2d assets.

Hey thanks for giving it a play! I appreciate it! :D

Really nice and unique looking game, liked the vibe and the music! A very cool style and I could definitely see me spending a lot more time with this game in the event of more content and more meat. :)

I did, however - struggle a bit with understanding the mechanics behind it. As others have said before me, I see - I got the message about poisoning my customers very often and I don't see what I'm doing wrong? Even if I put prices low, choosing to keep original content and import - I don't get the poisoning message noticeably less than if I would go the opposite way. And also, I get a lot of broken hearts, like, in many days I have 100% broken hearts even if alcohol is imported, unthinned and low-priced? :o The fact that I didn't really see my choices having any impact made me think I've understood something wrong? :)

Gameplay-wise ranking would probably be a bit less from me - but the look, story and sound of the game is a lot of stars!

I will definitely get back to give this game another go if there is some hint of what I should change or think about when playing. :D

Wow, thank you for the feedback and sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate that! I can definitely see how the feedback from the customers can be confusing, I'll definitely give it a think on how to communicate the logic of the customers better and hopefully add it into the game! I'll definitely be sure to drop a message if I can get to it! Thanks again! :D

Great graphics and music, both really complementing each other. I liked that you had to double check your guest list for the right people. Overall had a lot of fun with it, great concept. :)

Thank you for checking it out!

I'd like to formally apologize to the hundreds of people I've poisoned, but this game is too enjoyable to stop anytime soon. They knew the risk lol

Developer(+1)

lol absolutely valid, thanks so much for playing!

Thanks for giving it a look! :D

Great concept! However, the game's screen size is too large for my small screen; this leads to me not being able to read the How to Play fully. The gameplay is simple but fascinating though. I really enjoyed declining and approving customer's password. Overall, great job!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the kind words :3 The screen size being a problem is something we will definitely try to fix in the next build.

i just got 'you poisoned your costumers' message everytime i played lol

Developer

That can happen a lot yea, yea. Game balancing is a challenge, but also, there are choices that allow you to reduce chance of poisoning ;)

We may come back to adjusting some things and add a proper tutorial period later tho. Thank you for your feedback!

I absolutely loved it ! Like your graphics choices, the music and the gameplay. If I had to make one negative point, I didn't get why my clients were mad when I took all the options to make them happy.

Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback Aleshani! We'll definitely take it and try to work it into the next iteration!
