GOD! THE LEVEL OF DETAIL! You simplified each talent's design really well and gave each talent a unique reaction when grab them! Everything meshes well! Also really appreciate having options to turn down music or SFX! Super considerate! I do wish the How To Play was a little more easier to read since its a bit hard to read due to (adorable) wandering talents! Really love the level progression too - felt super natural! I'm a bit suprised that Ina doesn't count as animal themed? Also really fits the jam theme!
- There have been times when I grab a talent but I'm unable to release them?
- I think having a visible timer would be helpful?
I think this is a really fun game! I really loved the art and it's a really neat concept. Easy to learn but hard to master. XD
very good game,
would be perfect if i can see where my pointer faster
Very nice! Instantly sold on the art style, and you + Zoid captured the majority of gripes or QoL I had that would elevate this even more! I could picture the gang making noises when you pick them up too. I spent quite a bit of time playing it... got into a nice flow!
I could also totally picture this being part of a WarioWare-style party game, now that I think about it. Great base for future content, too; a time-trial sort mode, for example. Also makes me wonder what a 3-way or even 4-way sort would look like... probably difficult to design for! You did fantastic with this submission as-is -- ome ome!
glad it was totally worth but pls don't sacrifice your basic needs too much (┬﹏┬)
Love the cute art! The game is fun. Good job !
Impressive art! The premise of needing hololive knowledge to sort the characters is such a great idea, and feels really fun and challenging to think and act on the spot.
Few things to point out though:
- Though not frequent, there are quite a few times where the theme immediately changes when I release my mouse. Suggest to maybe include a warning indicator when theme is about to change? Or maybe to prevent theme from changing when dragging a character, but time speeds up as penalty instead or something
- Not a big concern, and not sure if it is even within your control, but players can just click out of the game to pause it so that they can "cheat" in a sense.
Thanks for the feedback! You brought up some really good points.
>There's a lot of QoL changes I couldn't add cuz of time constraints (like time remaining, talent name text, theme text, etc). A theme change warning indicator is definitely one I also need to add lol.
>For pause cheesing, I was thinking of having a "curtain" cover the screen whenever the game is paused or out of focus to prevent those kinds of things, but like you said, cheating isn't really a big concern as long as they still have fun with it (at least in single-player games)!
they looked cute when picking them up haha.
Very fun to play!
I think it fits the jam theme well too! :)
Hard!
