Nice game!

The 2d character sprites on 3d backgrounds works very well! Good job!

The music arrangement was great too!

I loved all the little references in the shop and the random events. I got to experience a couple of them although I couldn't get the infinite nuggies due to having spent all my coins in the shop before hahaha.

Speaking of shop, it would be really useful to add a tooltip that shows the description or effect of each shop option.

I also spotted some typos here and there but with a quick quality control pass you should be good. Finally, the UI could be polished a bit, but that can be done after the jam.

Definitely looking forward to a more complete version of the game (post-jam) with more playable characters and different environments, as well as some sort of final boss battle and a satisfactory ending sequence. :)

Great work!

Really solid baseline so far! I really like the visual style and the spritework!
Most bugs I encountered have already been pointed out by the others (such as the purchased upgrades not showing a description, the map sometimes highlighting map nodes that can't be accessed, and the cursor sometimes feeling inconsistent during combat) so I can't say much else there
But I can definitely see myself getting addicted to playing this if it gets expanded on >:D

Really Nice Game! I liked the Idea, the Mechanics and how everything Works. Performance was also Great and had no Issues with that. For Bugs there are several I noticed:

The Settings seems to reset if you exit out of them and enter the settings menu again. the audio will set to 50%, fullscreen disables itself and idk if thats intentional but unless your in fullscreen, not all window resolutions show up.

When in an Event or Shop you can still Interact with the Map. Accidently got into a Fight while i was still Shopping for example. Tested it out with Events too and you also can Interact with the Map while for example spinning the wheel.

This one is more of a minor one but if you select another node, the previous nodes still got the animation as if you hovered them. After selecting a Node and finishing the next one, the previous nodes which still had the animation until you clicked on them (which did nothing but only stop the animation ofc since you already went past the nodes)

Another minor bug is that the "Escape" button was spelled "Excape". just a notice if you skipped over it

As previously mentioned it would also be nice to display what each skill and upgrade does. if you select nerissa for example it would be nice that if you hover over the skills you get a quick info what each skill does. same with the upgrades. really needed to test out what each upgrade did for example.

This game also seems a little Easy. I wouldnt mind a bit of a difficuilty increase and the Shop Items also seem a little too cheap (even though i dont really see THAT much difference per upgrade. maybe increase the numbers but also the cost of the items)

Other than that its a great game like i said!

NVIDIA GTX 1080 (ik its an old graphics card dont judge me xD)

Thanks for all the feedback! Definitely will look into the settings and map issues.

As for the difficulty, I agree. We did have more enemies and stuff planned but we didn't have time to fully implement them. There also will be more abilities n stuff later on, but I do agree we should have somewhere to display what the abilities do. it just wasnt a priority to get done over the actual mechanics.

Also no judgement, I still run an i7 7700k and a 1080 too lmao

HoloArchive v0.0.2

Played on various resolutions/fullscreen.

Settings: When changing any volume value, clicking on settings resets it to 50. Also if fullscreen is selected and changing resolution. Clicking on settings will reset to default screen size resolution

Would love to be able to go back from character selection screen to main menu.

Map: When hovering nodes, they are highlighter even after clearing other rooms.

When alt tabbing it auto scrolls upwards

When starting run selecting first node needs more effort to select.

Combat: I don't know if it was meant to be played without cursor, but unless you pause and resume mid combat, the cursor will stay there and after choosing to go to another combat room the cursor won't disappear. Also without seeing cursor, it's clunky to control facing direction.

If it was meant to be played with cursor, then there seems to be cursor inaccuracy. I had to keep it a bit to the left or below enemies depending on position.

Shop: I don't know if you're supposed to be able to buy only one item each or as many as you want, but it doesn't seem to stack and you can keep buying.

Also would be good to know what each upgrade does. Still don't know what echoing voices do (I assume range increase).

When enemies die to DoT they can still hit you.

Overall it's pretty good game and would love to see more, if you plan developing it.

Definitely the best looking 3D game in this jam! I love all the little details sprinkled around the levels, and the sprite work is stunning. Gameplay is solid, although a little too easy. I believe the only biggest flaw is that there isn't much content at the moment. Hope to see more variety of enemies, levels and upgrades added into this game!

I really liked the look of the game, and it played pretty well! There were a good chunk of crashes unfortunately in my experience, but I like where its going.

I watched the creation of this game and waited for the moment to try it, in the end I was satisfied with your result.

Very pleasing graphics and soundtrack

The combat system is very addictive and if you develop it further it will be very good.

The only drawback I can mention is that the game often crashed at the end, but maybe that's just my PC issue.
