This was so well executed. It’s a simple idea, but the game feel is really good. Same story with the art. I liked the tension that the music added. And it’s also cool that you included a level editor.

Thank you!

This is so fun! I love the colourful geometricness and the arcade style gameplay. All of this works together so well to make such a polished, fun game. Awesome job!

Like that falling floors style gameplay remind me old mineplex times

Developer

Thank you! And yes, that's what it was based on :)

Okay - THIS is some classic game jam epicness. The premise is super simple but is executed wonderfully, from the simple art style to chill music - it all comes together really well! It feels a bit like a Mario Party game and could see this being super fun in multiplayer, too. Your level of polish when it comes to animations and particles don't go unseen, and for less than 72 hours, this is really incredible to see. And that's not even mentioning a... *adjusts glasses* LEVEL EDITOR? Bro, this is awesome sauce!! You've really gone all out on this project and it definitely shows! I would've liked to have seen a losing screen that shows your final score + high score, but that's obviously just a small nitpick. On web, there also seems to be some strange tiling/positioning issues with the squares which results in white lines flickering between the tiles. Another great addition (which would've been too much for the jam time, haha) would be a local or even global leaderboard to add some more competitiveness!

This game has it all - engaging gameplay, great aesthetics, boppy tunes, intricate patterns, and best of all, SQUARES! Massive well done!! :D

Thank you! Very good points on the end screen and high score setup, will definitely have to do that if I end up doing a post-jam update. Also, massive props for playing all the games and doing in-depth feedback, it is much appreciated!

If you decide to go ahead with the post-jam update, best of luck! I'm doing my best to provide helpful feedback but I'm not too sure about my analytical skills 😅

yo this is actually very very good! i really enjoyed it, very minimal and good looking, and a great interpretation of the theme! i also really like the editor feature, i think its a cool little addition :) it would be nice to see what score you got at the end (like maybe latest score - 8, highest score - 12) but very nice game :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Good idea for the score feature, will take that into account!

Very polished game and I love the creativity this lets the player have using the editor! The controls are also perfect for this, as they allow the player to feel in total control over their fate! Well done!

(and thanks for the help during the jam :P)

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

(and no problem for the help during the jam :D)

really cute game ! my brain started hurting when i reached 5 colors ahaha but that's just because im bad at memorizing... other than that, i had a lot of fun playing your game, the music is cool and the levels are very colorful and well design (big GG for that). Last but not least the intro what the hell ??!! why is it so cool tho, the colors changing and creating cute artwork was a very good idea !!

Developer

Thank you! The menu was kind of a "why not" thing so I'm glad it's cool!

It's cool to have a level editor included. The dash button saved my score a couple of times, so it's nice that you actually have to use it to get to the higher scores. I was engaged. Well done.

Developer

Thank you!

Simple but well done, I think the dash could use some work and just the white background with colored square can be a bit jarring but still a very good game.

So far, my high score is 17. I'm a goldfish XD.

Colors may be a little too bright (but it's a matter of taste). Apart from that, it's really well made and fun.

Developer

Thank you! My high score is somewhere like 21, so 17's pretty good!

really liked this game, was super cool to see a level editor implemented despite this being such a short jam too

Thank you!

You know what, this might just be the only game which doesn’t need a description to understand it. I really enjoyed it! What I liked most was the music, the simple gameplay and loop and the artstyle itself. What I would add is a little more colour, but all in all, Well Done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Add more colour as in more color options that the game picks from?

Submitted (1 edit)

Yes as well as some colourblindness options

took a little bit till understood how to play, and then it hit me.

I can probably play this game for a very long time.

The game is very well polished, the focus on the "juice" of this game really comes forward.

At first I was thinking that "okay, your basic stand where you told", and then you started adding colors to remember, which was caught me off guard and was fun.

The music is great, the gameplay is simple and fun, and the fact you can create you Own Maps which will register which colors you added and is very accessible is mind-blowing.

Developer

Thank you!

Its a pretty fun game. I really enjoyed the music and the art style is simple but effective. It fits the theme extremely well (with the levels themselves being patterns and the player having to work around the sequence of colours) and its obviously completely geometric. My only real complaint is how you are dragged away from the action to be shown the next colour sequence; that should really be displayed on a HUD as to not disrupt the flow.

Also massive props for the level editor; I was quite impressed with that! :)

Developer

Thank you! Definitely going to keep the HUD thing in mind, that's a good idea for how to display that. Noted!
