I really like this idea, and the dystopian vibe that you gave the game with its music and aesthetic. My one complaint, which might just be on my end, is that it can be a bit hard to make out my mouse cursor against the harsh black-and-white background.

Great game, I laughed out loud the first time shapes came out instead of people! I love the frantic sorting gameplay, awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for you good words! We appreciate it :)

I like the game but when i need to sort by the color of their pants i can't see what color is it because the pixels are so few.

Developer(+1)

yea totally fair. I deemed it more important to have big heads and shirts though in retrospect I should've just made the sprites bigger lol. Me and my addiction to 32*32 pixels XD

Okay and by the way i made my game webgl if you wanna try it.

Developer(+1)

yup works fine on my end. It's probably too late to have an impact, but at least you know for next time :)

Really Fun to play but why they are walking I cant catch them !!!

Developer

All part of the challenge ;)

I really like how this idea could expand by adding even more objects, and maybe more sides to pick from! Definitly a unique take on the theme! Good job! :V

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks! Not sure if I will expand this one but I appreciate your suggestions :D

Yooo, this is fantastic! I think this party-game concept is really cool on its own, and with the addition of cute little animations, the game earned a bunch of character. It was a bit disrupting to stop and read the small category text each round, but scrambling to get the little guys and shapes into the correct sides was undoubtedly a lot of fun. With some polish to the artwork and music (which was a great addition to add to the whimsical intensity), I could see this being even more great! But overall, amazing work - I loved the small details of the characters wobbling around when you pick them up, very good :P

Developer(+1)

Wow! Didn't expect to see you here Ico! I'm so glad you liked it :)

It’s a really fun game. The only thing I would improve is the art but all in all Well Done!

Developer(+1)

Ha ha art is not my strong suit. I try my best tho ;)

It would help to have little symbols or colors next to the text on the bottom to quickly identify the searched pattern. It feels pretty good when the characters stand in the correct place and you can basically speedrun the round. It's also a nice touch that the characters move, otherwise it would probably be too easy.

Developer

I really like your idea with symbols! It would probably be quite simple simple to implement as well! :)

Great game and I liked most levels but to be honest the game play felt best when there were the little guys, and the shapes part felt like it didn't fit

Developer

Fully agree with you! Admittedly I just shoe horned the shapes in to fit in with the Geometric part of the Jam. The shapes were a very late addition to the game

The nuances of the gameplay were a little confusing but great idea!

Very fun! The focus required was intense in a good way, and the characters moving around was a nice touch. The artstyle looks good, and the adaptive music really adds to the flowstate. My only suggestion would be to make the instructions for each category more central.

Reminds me of an old minigame from New Super Mario Bros on the DS!

Developer (1 edit)

Funnily enough Sort or 'Splode was kinda my inspiration for this game! Fair point about the UI though - will remember that for next time

The idea is simple and efficient, The little guys running everywhere are very funny.

The time setting may be too short, or I'm too slow? I tried several times and always run out of time with the geometric shapes.

Developer

Its meant to be a difficult game, so I'm not surprised you lost quickly. Though I suppose that I should've added a couple difficulty options - my mistake?

Submitted(+1)

Took me a short minute to understand how to play, and when I did I found it quite fun!
It's a game that requires you to focus on the details of these small people, and drag them around to the correct side.

the variations of the little dudes and attention for details is fun, and the fact they move around makes your life not much easier, in a good way! if the people were bigger, or the middle part was smaller it would have been a little easier to sort them.

Fun game, interesting take on the theme, well executed code and fun derpy characters.

Developer

Hey thanks for the kind words! Especially glad you like the characters (was aiming for a derpy look). But the code is definitely not well written or anything; I'm very glad no one else gets to see it lol XD
