Oooo, that is a super unique take on the theme!

very difficult, wasn't able to get much further in, though the concept you had for this game fits in so well,

and has so much ways to be devloped. with the right scaling of difficulty, this game could really become an insane platformer game.
great game, impressive work :D

Really nice! I like that you went for telling a story, even in the limited time a jam provides. I also think the shapeshifting mechanics are cool - each shape having unique strengths makes it fun to solve puzzles (though I’d love to see some more tight level design in that regard). I did find the controls slightly unintuitive though. Maybe I just had to get used to them, but I wonder if instead of giving each form a button, you could have mapped them to more natural controls? Like maybe have one button to toggle between circle and square as the most common, then “double jump” to turn into a rectangle. And maybe a dedicated “attack” button for the triangle? Idk if that would actually be better, but it was the first thought I had.

Overall, I really love the idea and it would be cool to see you do more with it!

Really cool game, I love the art and music, and the gameplay is really fun as well! The combinations of shapes are really fun, and I especially love the laser eye animation, it's so sweet! Great job

Wow! It's a really good game. How it's this not in the first place?

The idea is great, and good job for finishing it within the given time! I've had a lot of fun experimenting with the different shapes to find strategies, but I felt some of this game was a bit rushed. (I guess that happens in Jams :P)

For example, you could easily clip out of bounds by swaping with other shapes close to walls. Otherwise, most of it was very well made to showcase the various possibilities which emerged from the core mechanic!

Well done! :7

Very nice game. The story is nice, but it felt like there was too much text. Also, reloading made the game freeze every time, which broke the flow. The concept is good, but the levels were hard. Good job!

There's a lot to like about this game. For one its a very interesting take on the theme. The graphics are also really well done. But honestly the main thing I dislike is the level design; far too often the player is expected to react to an unexpected spike pit. Odds are that they don't and suffer an unfair death. Which is why I haven't finished the game.

Basically I think you have some excellent ideas, but the execution just isn't there (though frankly that's a really good outcome for your first jam submission).

Also for Game Jams you should always have a web build if possible. Seeing as you made this in Unity, that is an unfortunate oversight (It is extremely easy to compile Unity projects to WebGL)

Hello,

I don't have windows, and the export doesn't work with wine. So I couldn't play your game, sorry.

Two advices as you wrote it's your first game:

I see you used Unity. Next time, export your game in HTML5/WebGL, it's really easy with Unity, and more people will play your game (also, because of virus, many people will not event try to dl a game).

You used letters QWER for the game. French speaking people, Russians, Ukrainian, etc, don't use QWERTY keyboard. However, you don't have to map your game to all keyboard. Just be sure in the setting of you project to link actions with the physical position of the keys (everyone, knows where QWERTY should be) and not only to the letters themselves.

Good luck!

This is pretty cool, I think the square is a bit fast but I think how you handled patterns was very unique. the game was a slow when restarting and crashed a few times at the start but it worked mostly fine after that.

I really liked the unique concept and gameplay, your implementation of the theme is rather clever, the only thing I hated was the speed of the cube as it was a bit uncontrollable but all in all, Well Done on your first game!
