Instead of a game, I created a made up Anime story based on the image and “The Far Reaches” text, so I drew up a music menu to compose towards.
The soundtracks were kinda inspired by the world setting of Wuthering Waves and Nier Automata. I really liked Nier Automata melody writing technique so I wanted to try using that (for practice) but I didn't want to be to influenced and tried to include stuff that I would do. This might get some points knocked out, but I don’t think what I made is the most creative or innovative but personally I’m happy with what I wrote and I had fun. Originally wanted to create more music, but due to school finals, had to settle with 3.

Brief Story Synopsis:
Story takes place on a magical continent that was ravaged by war 800 years ago, causing the land to develop high mountains. Now in present times, towns and roads have been established on the mountains, however the war from 800 years ago left its mark on the land and affects the wellbeing of the people. 500 years ago a prophecy was foretold that a blue mountain will appear that will “break” the sky and cause a permanent aurora waterfall. A star will fall and this star will eventually return back to the blue mountain’s peak, resolving all the lingering effects of the war 800 years ago.

A young girl finds herself laying down on the shores at the foot of a mountain, staring up at a blue mountain in the distance covered by a waterfall like veil. With her memories lost, she recalls her only memory and takes on the name Obu. Following the sound of a faint cry, she begins her journey towards the blue mountain, traveling together with a merchant. Her travels will slowly reveal the past and the events that transpired when the blue mountain “broke” the sky 400 years ago.

Good job on this, would love to see you composing stuff for video games soon. Keep it up!

Nicely done, I like the storytelling you did with some very well crafted dynamics on all the pieces. First track I really like the choir its only the gated/room reverb that I think should not be there, like Kale said a longer hall reverb would do the trick. Second track the only thing thats messing in my ear is the hard plucked instrument that is too harsh its often doubling the piano, either tone down the velocity or try another instrument doing the notes because I think its a very lovely piece.  Third track we feel the Nier Automata I really like this one nothing to say. Good job !

Really nice submissions, I really liked the last track as well. I thought the piano was balanced better in the second track, but the piano on the first track seemed to drown other instruments out and came across too loud (to me). I think slightly reducing the volume on it overall, would help balance the composition a bit better :)

Spectacular job! Very cinematic indeed!

At first I felt the last song a bit misplaced, but it was so grandious I had to give it another go and with the description I see it working! I did love the choirs and that they worked almost as a bridge for all the songs, but did sometimes feel that they played too much, what I mean is that their lack of presence in some parts would increase their impact on the part ahead, like in clash of the waterfall

Take care :)

This is wonderful.

I think that my ear wants a little bit of a larger reverb. It sounds like you have a room reverb, and I think for the composition itself, it could use a larger reverb.

That said, I think the small reverbs have their place, and you did a good job of making this sound like its in a small room.

I think creativity wise, it's well done, though it maybe falls into a lot of existing patterns, i.e. fairly straightforwardly cinematic orchestral in its nature.

Overall, great work though. Thank you for submitting! :)

Very nice compositions, kind of get lost in what's ultimately a not great mix. But overall an incredibly lovely submission and piece. Great work.

Such an amazing composition. I think it's so cool that you've written lore behind the tracks. Adds more weight to the sound. The epic cinematic sound given off is really cool as well. The flute and cello(might be violin) parts reminds me of Zelda chill soundtrack a little bit
