Description
The theme and painting made me want to create something peaceful and melancholic, and the music I began making, made me reminisce of the final moments with my friends at a boarding school I went to, where it is a tradition to go to the docks and watch the sunrise together last day of school, before we all were to go our separate ways. So the music is dedicated to that bittersweet moment between one journey's end and when another begins.

Fantastic vibe on this ! Really brings mind to Masashi Hamauzu's work on FF10, like the Macalania Forest theme.
You really nailed the serene feelings i got from the image with this, and the nice guitar playing adds a lot to it 😉.
Great work!
The composition here is really neat. I also like that you also went with a woodwind.
The image I posted I think really calls for woodwinds, so in my track I actually ended up using a real bamboo flute and two different virtual woodwind instruments.
I also like that the composition isn't like crazy predictable either and moves around. It also definitely has this vibe that is maybe sort of like jazz-inspired indie rock like Sondre Lerche.
I think my main critique is that the mix is maybe a little flat and the dynamics are maybe a little flat as well. One of my biggest recommendations to alleviate this is that people play real instruments and midi controllers with velocity control into their tracks to humanize everything and make the articulation so much more potent.
Overall though, excellent work!
The image really suits the track, this is a very heartfelt composition.
I've listened to this many times over the past week. It has a ton of character and several memorable moments. You're doing really unexpected things with chord progressions that seem to intentionally subvert the listener's expectations. The abrupt and unanticipated cadences make it really fun to listen to. I really dig this. Plus, it kind of reminds me of Air (the band) which is awesome.
Really great submission, good work.
Very heartfelt, think composition and execution to be good but felt it strayed a bit form the theme, still great jogb! :)
I love the wistfulness of this. I like the choice of instruments and thought they sounded balanced. Nice job!
