Description
I spent a lot of time refining the ambiance and soundscape of this track, and I'm ultimately really proud of the result. While I hoped to accomplish more, I unfortunately fell ill over the latter half of the competition and barely had time to scramble this together to submit an hour late. As a result, I couldn't put the mixing/mastering polish on this track or expand this submission into other tracks. I'm still proud of what I've made, and it's been an awesome learning opportunity. I can't wait to hear all of your thoughts and feedback! If you have any questions about my composition/production process, previous experience, intended vision, or anything else, please reach out via comment and I'll do my best to respond. Without further ado, enjoy!

Well done Hoist, probably my favourite of them all, you kept it simple and i'm very glad you did. I think you only need to do some mastering, its very low in volume around -26 LUFS, you can clearly crank it up a bit, give more presence to your small bassy punch and you're all set. Good job !
I appreciate your thoughts! I did actually finish the mastering after submission, I'll likely edit the page with an updated player after the jam has concluded. I'm glad you enjoyed the piece's composition, though! :)
So pleasant, calm and, if I had to define it with one word: caressing. I think your usage of reverbs is fantastic. I love the final chord ending the main progression. Your cushion strings and waves sounds are mixed at the perfect volume and the presentation of your submission is beautiful and inspiring. Congratulations and thank you very much for sharing a piece of so moving and carefully crafted music. Great work!
The instruments are glued together so nicely, very easy on the ears!
I love how calming this is. The airy texture is perfect and does a great job filling so much space!
I really enjoyed this gentle adventure you took me on with your music. It's relaxing without being impersonal, which is very important. You are right to take pride in your work! There's nothing unnecessary here, there's no sound for sound's sake, to create an imaginary atmosphere. Everything is super in terms of composition!
I love the work with the timbres, I love how balanced the sound is, it's just love.
Also, I can't help but mention what a beautiful cover you have, haha.
Thank you, glad I found this work in my wanderings!
I remember thinking this sounded really good in the devlog.
My main feedback would be that I think it could do more to correlate with the theme and be musically descriptive in that sense, but the track is definitely polished sounding and really pleasant to listen to.
Great work, iHoist!
So peaceful. I love it.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! :)
