  • Hey! I really liked this series of mechanics. There were a lot of great ideas in the game. Plenty of content for a jam. I felt, however, that without any gamification the experience devolved a bit into a chore. I really would have appreciated levels with smaller quotas but on a time limit. I think bite sized chunks like that with a "top score" string saved and a level select would have made this something I'd even come back to. Add a few lines of setup for a story premise and I think this would have been a really hard entry to beat. Thanks for the game! Best of luck with future dev.

I like the golfing but the controls were funnily wonky and I believe the levels should be easier to progress quicker to new "cleaning" tools.

Developer

Progression does take a while in this game, and part of the reason was because of limited play testing. We also made the room smaller towards the end of the jam, which probably made level 6 a bit more difficult to complete.  Thanks for the feedback and taking your time to play!

Hmm yes, I think I'll get a battle axe to clean my house irl too!

I took way too long to do this, but I beat the game! I liked the tool progression, but the controls were a bit more frustrating than I usually like. I did like the game though, had that satisfaction factor to it.

Developer

Thanks for your input on the controls. We realized that the controls were a bit off right before we submitted, so hopefully future Godot trials will have a bit more testing done on controls. Thanks for playing!

Interesting concept. Liked the art style. Items felt a bit light, like they were floating in the space. Good job!

Developer

This was the first time my teammate and I used Godot, and as such our experience using physics bodies was limited (which probably led to the tools having a 'floaty' effect). Glad you took the time to play it!

Really nice and satisfying game! I like how you keep introducing new tools to keep the player engaged and wondering what will be up next! I maybe would tweak the tool's aiming, as it is pretty difficult to sweep in the direction you want and sometimes I felt myself pushing the trash with my body instead of using the tool haha

Developer

The game engine we used (Godot) did make the directions of the tools a bit wonky. We tried our best with it, but a good chunk also comes down to how Godot handles 2D rays. Glad you liked it!

Really nice game! I love the style and I got satisfaction playing it, it is sooo satisfying to push the last leaf with the broom inside the elevator on each level. What's more, from the first moment of playing I feel the Godot engine, and since now most people prefer unity nowadays, I appreciate your choice, and it brings the nostalgia of learning it! :) The funny bug i have found was on the 3rd level, if you bring the biggest log inside the elevator and chop it there - small parts will be left out of reach :0

Developer(+1)

My teammate and I agreed to use Godot as it was my first jam, and it was a pretty good experience. There were a couple minor things that need tweaking internally (like continuous collision, which most likely explains the bug you had), but I'm excited for the future of the engine. Glad you enjoyed the game!

The game was pretty fun! The game actually started to feel more like hockey than a cleaning game since the movement is a little slippery and you can whack stuff to fling it. There was a few bugs like in the first room where I couldn't pick up the broom even though I pressed E with my mouse and the wood also wouldn't disappear when it was in the right spot. I didn't find any other bug though. Pushing a few things like wood was really slow and tedious though, even with an axe. Other than that, pretty solid entry!

Developer

One of the reasons we added a 'Restart' button was because of the tool pickup issue, as it wasn't consistent for whatever reason. As for pushing wood, I believe the level also included a leaf blower, which should be a bit easier to push the logs with (although not too much faster) . Thanks for playing!

This was super fun! Since viscera cleanup deatail, cleaning games have become my thing :) Great job!

Cool game and I liked the new tool introduced in each section. Was also fun to just whack the objects with the tools like it was hockey or something lmao. I knocked a few objects through the wall but it was cool that it still counted as removing them. Good job on the entry!

It's basically hockey simulator at this point lol. Glad you liked it!

This is pretty entertaining. The art style is good for how simple it is, it feels very clean and polished. I think one issue is that the tools are a bit hard to use, I think because they dont point directly at your mouse cursor. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. Other than that, good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, Godot's physics engine was a bit off this jam, which is why the tools don't point directly with the mouse cursor. Glad you liked it!
