Great idea and nice implementation! The smooth camera movement feels great. The mechanics of the game are fun and addicting and the music fits well. The biggest issue is that when all of your microbes die the game does not seem to acknowledge it and offers no way to restart. A smaller issue is that the bigger texts like the one that explains what K does are a bit blurry. Regardless this was amazing and creative, I was impressed you also coded an AI for the competing microbes. Great job!

Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it.

Yep. There is an "Loose screen" actually, but I configured no conditions for it :(

Ha-ha. Added them almost at the last moment. Fill fix in the future update.

Fun little game, the follow mechanics worked really well. I felt like the red microbes were not so much "evil" as they were just competing for the same resources, they never seemed to want to take over the green territory and were always in defensive mode rather than offense. The level progression felt a little odd, since the red microbes weren't in the last couple levels, meaning you just grow your group and you're done, was hoping that the later levels had the red ones trying to take over your territory.

Great work overall!

As I see in the comments, I don' t have to type about the issue with softlock and other then that I have really no complaint. Your approach to the theme is really fresh, although the microbe usualy are not :) Really nice idea and execution feels smooth and overall you made a great job of doing nice entry. Thanks for such a pleasant experience!

The idea was pretty original, and it made me sick (microbes on my food, what?), in the best way.. hahaha

Overall, the game was really polished. Good call on not directly mapping the input to each microbe, because I actually like the way the microbe group moves. It adds some randomness, natural when controlling a big group of characters.

Good job!

Loved it! The interactive tutorial is really helpful. The game is simple but still entertaining. The artstyle and music are well done. I found the movement a bit weird a times but it might just be me, and once the red captured my hive at level 5 they stopped trying to get food so it got pretty easy. Overall great game.

This game is so relaxing. Love the art style, and music, and how microbers do their little footsteps :3

Really enjoyed playing this game. Good job!

I got softlocked by accidentally going to an uncaptured hive XD, I wasn't expecting to see a Pikmin-type game for a game jam, so that's very cool. I usually make RTS-style stuff in Unity, hmu if you ever want to collab. I was thinking of doing an RTS game for the upcoming Kenney jam.

Solid all around! Very chill and fun! There was 1 glitch with the camera, but it was minor.

Really enjoyed this, found it absolutely hypnotizing, I could genuinely play this for hours. I mean, hours. The soundtrack was really fun and cute, so were the microbers! Got softlocked at level 6 when I died, I actually found the game so relaxing I forgot about the main objective the majority of the time. Would have liked to have known how many levels there were or if it was a go until you die type game but other than that, really great effort! Good job.

Simple but effective, it's a nice small game :D
Loosing all your microbes gets you in a softlock state tho :(

Sweet gameplay, cool music :D I just get softlocked at level 2 in dying stupidly but well i deserved it i guess... :D Good job !

Thanks! Ha-ha. No one deserves so many bugs :) Going to fix them in the update.

P.S. Liked your game too!

Cool game and like the style of it as well. Couldn’t see a way to restart if you lost which would be handy. The ai was pretty good as well. Had to be pretty quick to catch them before they grew too big. Good job!

Thanks for the review.  There is a "Loose screen", but I just didn't finish all conditions in time.
