No, we couldn't seem to figure out why we couldn't get a build up :(

I'll upload one as soon as the jam is over

We couldn't get a working build in unfortunately :(

Yeah, I think I might've made the game a bit too hard. Sorry about that!

You can double jump, then hold up and dash to dash straight up, sorry about the confusion!

This was a nice and fun little game :)

I love how you decided to have everything shatter and shards flying everywhere, once I destroyed a decent amount of stuff, you look back and there's the satisfying feeling of "hey! I did that!". I really think this was a fun game and I love how when you break glass, there's a chance that the debris would land on something else and smash that too! (That might just be wonky hitboxes but I'm gonna go with debris breaking it)

Three things that I saw is that the camera was a little jumpy occasionally when a shard blocked it, so it would suddenly come close to the cat and it was quite jarring. Another thing is I didn't quite understand what the objective was supposed to do, it just seemed like something that was in the top right that I didn't need to pay attention to.  This is a nitpick, but I also would've liked something like a piece of text that hovers above/next to the score which tells you how much it increased.

This was actually a really solid first jam entry! It was quite fun and it got really hectic really quickly. I definitely liked having the choice of clumping the slimes together and risking losing them all or having them spread out and having a higher chance of losing them!

I wasn't able to beat the game so I'm not sure if there was an end but I think that when the meteor was coming down, there should've been a little bit of screenshake and maybe some shurikens stopped coming for a brief moment. I think having an effect to make it a little clearer that a slime spawns in would be nice too!

This was not something I was expecting to find in a jam, very creative coming up with an acronym with the jam theme, really cool! Resulted in a game with a funny goal. The movement felt quite nice and smooth which improves how the game plays.

The art wasn't the best thing ever but there's something charming about it. The text for the upgrades seemed a little hard to read and I didn't realize the things like scales were needed to purchase some upgrades, if you could make those stand out a bit more, that'd be great!

I'd appreciate if you could check out my game! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1177084

Sorry, it means area of effect, which is an area attack basically

This was a cool game! The sound was great and the visuals were too! I just think you went a little too heavy with the post processing, which made the game look a little more like a first project. The gameplay was alright but I think you should've given the missile an AoE instead of just destroying a single meteor, would've made it way more satisfying to destroy a clump of meteors instead of spamming space and left click! Either way, pretty good for a first game!

Man I can't believe you accidentally deleted your game :( I hope you can get it sorted out.

This was a cool game, there was a nice puzzle element to it! The art was alright and I like how you gave the player a white outline, made it really easy to distinguish from all of the bright red crystals filling the screen! I have no complaints, nice job!

This was really really cool! I like how you decided to go for random events, really made the gameplay interesting. The graphics were nice and the menus gave me supercell menu vibes. The only thing for me is I would like to be able to walk through doors after I open them, but that's a small nitpick. It's a fun game though, nice job!

This was a nice challenge, it was fun and a cool take on the theme. Movement was nice considering the way you die in this game! I think just adding some particles and screenshake to the game would make it a lot better! Solid entry though!

The game was pretty hard sometimes but it was fun! I really liked the art and audio, I mainly just think melee weapons should be a little more powerful, but that’s about it! Nice job!

The game was pretty fun! The game actually started to feel more like hockey than a cleaning game since the movement is a little slippery and you can whack stuff to fling it. There was a few bugs like in the first room where I couldn't pick up the broom even though I pressed E with my mouse and the wood also wouldn't disappear when it was in the right spot. I didn't find any other bug though. Pushing a few things like wood was really slow and tedious though, even with an axe. Other than that, pretty solid entry!

This game was quite nice! The art was really simple and cute and the sound really went well with it! Jumping felt a little floaty and the falling was a little too fast, but everything else about the movement felt solid! Everything else felt nice and polished, this is probably one of the best games I've played in the jam so far! I'm just a little unsure how it fits the one room theme though.

My high score was 6300 :)

The environment of the game is really good! The graphics are great, I really like how the greys really contrasts with the red blood, which is really satisfying to see spread everywhere! I also really liked how the corpses piled up on the ground after a while, made it feel like the player was really powerful! The parry timing was also pretty hard to get used to but I was able to make it pretty far after I got used to it!

This game was so great! The animations were so cool and the time ticking down as you try to manage your energy was really fun! I didn't encounter any bugs which was really nice. If you added minigames for art and sound, that would've also been really cool!

Thanks for the really in-depth feedback! Unfortunately I can't rate your game since it only has a windows build and I have a mac :(

Thanks for the feedback! It's supposed to fit by having the tile placement be the exact same in each room but the gameplay in each room is different. I should've communicated this a little better so that it was a little clearer!

Really fun and nice game! Movement felt really nice and the art was really nice and cute! The level design was pretty creative and the difficulty was pretty nice! On one of the levels, when I rotated, I got stuck in some of the boxes that didn't rotate with the level and I would be able to double jump sometimes, but I didn't notice anything else and they didn't really take away anything from the gameplay. Overall, very nice and simple game!

(1 edit)

This was a very fun jam game! The art was very nice and cute and I really liked how all of the furniture fits really well together!

I think a system to reward how organized room layouts are and some sound effects for when you move and place furniture would be very nice! Sometimes I would also hold furniture and it wouldn't move, but I realized it's because you needed to click the tile it's on and not the furniture itself. If you could hold the furniture instead of the tile, that would be a lot nicer!

Hopefully that explanation makes sense, but the game is very nice the way it is now!

The game was super fun! I kept playing over and over because I always wanted to try to beat my high score. The one bit style was great and the red outline around the bubbles was a nice way to tell you needed to pop them. I also really loved dashing through a large group of bubbles, it felt really satisfying! I don't have any complaints about the game, though some more bubble variants would be nice. Overall, great game!

I'll rate when I can :)

This was pretty fun! I don't know why but the bouncing cars really made me laugh when I first saw them and the post processing really does make it look like an explosion just happened. The only things I would do is add something in the beginning that would wait for you to press space before starting and also making the buildings in the background look more destroyed.

I'll rate as soon as rating is fixed!

Nice game! I like how wherever theres's an item, there's small sparkles and the art was also pretty nice! Something I'd change is the hitboxes are a little weird, the player's collider is a little bit bigger than what they look like and it's the same case for the NPCs. Didn't really bother me too much since it didn't mean too much, but overall, the game is pretty alright!

I'll rate as soon ratings are fixed!

Thank you for such detailed feedback! I’ll work on the things you mentioned for a post-jam update!

This was such a juiced up game! The idea of balancing the time you use a certain colour was very interesting and made the game pretty intense at times! Audio was amazing and the game felt great to play!

Don't worry, I'll set a cap on how much you can hit a certain key in a timeframe!

Only two sides of the Earth is defended from lasers, which is how it fits with the theme, and where’s the fun in using an autoclicker to beat the game? But anyway, thanks for the feedback!

This was a neat game! It was nice and like the art style, simple. I also really liked how the camera moved with whichever player you last controlled, which was a pretty cool feature!

This game is actually really fun! Movement and attacking felt pretty responsive and was super fun to do! My only complaints is I wouldn't switch to the black shade since I wasn't used to controlling it very well, but it felt weird because your jump was going downwards. Maybe you can flip the screen when you switch shades? The other thing is adding I-frames after getting hit, which is nice since some of the enemies spam projectiles and instantly kill you if you aren't careful.  t also seems like you get softlocked when you die unfortunately. Other than that, the game is very fun!

This game was super cool! I saw you post progress on the page flipping in discord and it's amazing to see the game got this far! The puzzle design is smart and challenging while the mechanics were very easy to learn, which is great! I can definitely see this getting in the top 10!

Only two sides of the Earth is defended, which is how it fits.

Great puzzle game! The visuals were really good and cute and the puzzle was designed pretty well! I didn't realize you needed to press E on the buttons for a bit and thought you needed to use the crates for a few minutes, I might just be a little stupid but maybe you should try to make it a little clearer. Other than that, great game and puzzle design!

That's because it was inspired by his game!

This was quite a nice game! The art was beautiful and movement felt pretty nice. Some polish like squash and stretch and a better visual cue for when you can switch instead of just being there when you try to switch would be nice!

This game was pretty fun! Some of the puzzles were pretty challenging and I felt very accomplished when I was able to solve one. Moving boxes around felt a little janky since they got stuck of walls very easily, which is really annoying since you would have to restart the entire level. I think being able to launch up ridiculously high from switching between sides was super great though!
