One thing I would try to work on, is the instructions towards the player. I was reading it and trying to understand, yet when the game started, first 2-3 games I had basically no idea what was happening. But that might be just my issue being slow :D On the other hand, I must say that when I got into it, this is really cool idea! Just 2 screens were really fun and challenging, but when I moved into later stages ... well there comes real challenge. Great job, a certainly fresh approach to the theme combined with cool game idea.

Really fun, the random aspect of the game makes it fun to play lots of times and every time i lost i felt it was because i messed up and not because of the game, really nice.

Really fun, once I figured out how to take advantage of the bounce of it was even more fun.

Was really great and fun however the randomness sometimes would lock me in a room with no way out. Other than that it was a great game!

Really fun game. Probably the best one I've played so far. It was a little bit too difficult, though. I barely managed to survive for more than 5 rounds. It would have been nice if the space to avoid was more clearly communicated, as I focused on the wrong space a few times.

Developer

Thanks! What was your highest score?

And you’re talking about the spaces around the edges of the screen, right? Improving that is definitely something on my list.. haha

Thanks for playing!

I replayed the game and got a score of 4125. Another small complaint I have is that the game gets easier as the number of sections increase, so it probably would have been better if it started with five sections and then decreased to two.

Nice job! Clever mechanic. For the first time, it was unobvious, as well as the goal. But it's pretty enjoyable once you get it. Liked retro music also.

Cool!

Totally get that. Tutorials for a game jam are not my forte, hahaha Thanks for playing!

Really clever mechanic!  complementary with the awesome style and music.

Thanks for playing! I’m glad that you liked it!

Really solid! I really like the music!

Developer

Really? That’s nice! It’s my first attempt at doing some music for a game jam (I normally use 3rd party music), so I’m really glad that you liked it

Thanks for playing!

I usually use open source music too. Kudos for doing so well on your first attempt! I opened up a music editor and just stared at it confused for like 30 minutes before being given a different task...

Um, I mean the piano player was thrown out a window when the bar fight started. Yeah, that's what we decided to go with.

Really like this one, graphically simple but pretty well done due to the colors and such. Gameplay wise i enjoyed it, getting better every time feels pretty good, and satisfying.

Overall solid entry, i'll definitely be playing a little more :)

Only thing that was a little frustrating was getting stuck.

Developer

Thanks! It’s always great to hear that! I totally get the getting stuck issue, unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to refine the procedural generation to avoid that. Thanks for playing!
