Surprisingly challenging! the music is also pretty great

Well, it's a self-explanatory Pong Invaders. It's well made, and the music is good.

This is a great example of a fusion being incredibly fun! I think it would be even more fun with power-ups, like maybe you get three bullets to shoot pesky invaders that you can't quite get with the ball. I'm not good at Break Out, so I found it difficult, but I think this has so much potential.

Excellent concept! It works amazing for the theme, and plays great! I think you might be onto something; the games do work surprisingly well together.

Was maybe a tad difficult (or I'm just horrible at it). The speed at which lasers were being shot seemed to sometimes be pretty extreme. But not too crazy, maybe just something to think about if you're going to do anything else with this. (I would guess you're not, but who knows!)

I did hit one point where the ball was bouncing back and forth infinitely up at the top. It was maybe moving very slowly and would have eventually come down, but I don't know, and I died before I could figure out. Might be something to look into.

Overall, however, I really dig this! Great work!

Fun Stuff! No fuss, no muss, right into the action.

Awesome job for your first jam!

Feels more like atari breakout than pong, but I like the merging idea!

feels more like breakout and space invaders. but overall pretty good game

I like it! It’s fun and works well with the theme.

I think you could have also made the paddle shrink without the need for a health system or the hearts could be controlled by the ball as well. I also found it a little to hard early game with the lasers and everything and I think you could have spiced the visuals up a bit more. Also I don’t think there was a real need for a main menu as it was just a start button, and the game doesn’t auto-start when you load up the page (for me at least).

I like the idea of the paddle length being the health bar. That's brilliant!

I love it! Every detail that's been added in I like.  The music starts a little bit ominously, but then gets better I think.

You could add in more oppurtunity for strategy by having two seperate health counters, one for paddle durability, and one for ball count. I would try to find some way to expand on this idea without taking away from either of the original games. Potentially, you could mix in a third game. Anything to keep the players engaged. Of course, it's a game jam, so naturally we're all short on time and sleep.

Adding a couple more sounds for winning and losing might also make the game more fun.

Other than the simplicity great game! My favorite take on the theme so far (besides my own)! ;)

a really great concept, but the game is way too short, even for a jam game. the core gameplay is quite fun and fits the theme well (also this is more like the game 'breakout' than 'pong')
