Well designed puzzle game, uses it's mechanics really well and leads to some enjoyable moments. The physics are a bit inconsistent i've found, as its very easy for a box to just rotate off of thin platforms after placing. Also, pick up and gravity shift being so close on the keyboard meant I ended up doing one or the other on accident (skill issue on my end.). The art is really cool, I especially like how the player is a 2D Sprite, reminds me of old N64 era games. The game is quite fun, and puzzles are actually challenging, which is something you don't see very often in game jam games, so props to you! Amazing project for just 72 hours.

Enjoyable game, uses the theme really well. Levels are tough, but not unfair, which is nice. Controls take some getting used to but lead to some interesting gameplay for sure. It is fun to analyze the route you have to take to beat a level (where to put your cursor, when to switch polarity) especially in later levels. Game took me 25 minutes to beat but didn't get boring at all during that time. My only criticism is that sometimes it feels like some mechanics are up to chance, (even if they are not, skill issue on my end probably) most notably when you have to switch states while on a magnet to get a boost repelling you away. For 72 hours, this is a really good game, good job on this.
The crystals are a cool gimmick, allowing for some cool platforming. Controls are quite annoying, which is quite bad for platformers. Level design is mostly alright, but not very interesting (lack of decoration, different obstacles) But I do like how how you can take shortcuts by pressing shift at certain points. Game is a bit unpolished in some aspects, infact there is a glitch that lets you climb up walls, (the inputs are decently precise to be fair) using this I was able to beat the game having only pressed shift twice :p. Music and art are a bit lacking, but for 72 hours, this is a solid enough game with alot of charm to it.
I can tell a lot of heart and soul was put into this. Props for also managing a whole character creator (even if it doesn't have much use). Unfortunately I did not figure out how to 'win' (or if such a moment exists) even after playing for around 10 nights. Really touching concept/story to it all. Very impressive project
Really interesting game. Music is way too quiet, but i'm sure its well made. Level design is good, tough but fair. Movement is also fluid (especially player animation), however sometimes its a bit janky. Infact there is a glitch were merely touching a roof or wall re-enables your double jump, using this glitch I was able to beat the entire game while only switching between states once. (Its a really fun glitch though, not a bad thing) A bit unpolished in certain areas, but other than that a really solid platformer. Nice job on this, really nice for a first game jam.
Yeah Shogun Showdown was a major inspiration for us, glad you enjoyed it!
Also, i'm pretty sure you should be able to rate games even if your account wasn't the one to upload the project. Ask the person who uploaded the project to add you (and/or other teammates) as an Admin on the project and to check list as contributor, this would allow all teammates to be able to rate games. Hope that helps!
Nights are far too short (except the first one) so you can often just survive without having to engage in combat, and if you do engage in combat, just spamming the space bar is enough to get you by. The game uses the theme quite well and in unique ways, and has fitting visuals. A decently polished project for the short amount of time, nice job on this.
This is a mostly well made platformer, it's quite fun and features some cool movement options, which is something that you always love to see in platformers. However, the game is lacking in some areas, especially in the audio department (no music, and the only sound effects are for jumping/collecting). There is also no Coyote time (letting the player jump even after they have left the ground for a short time), or jump buffer (pressing jump while falling near the ground counting as a jump when the player lands), which makes the game control significantly worse than if it did have those things. You never really want to be in the black ninja form, as it is far more limited, and the only reason for its use is due to the level design requiring you to use it, which doesn't feel very satisfying. The level design here is tough at times, but never unfair, which is ideal. But it kinda feels like you're in a tutorial the whole time, with very little space to apply your knowledge. The use of the theme here is a bit underwhelming and the game can feel unpolished at times (such as text using the default font). With that being said, the mechanic of switching forms is really fun (when its required), and the movement feels fluid. For a beginner project, as well as being made in under 72 hours, this is an impressive project. Good job on this.
game is quite fun, controls quite janky though. its alos pretty hard, the furthest ive made it is to the beat drop of the guitar song then promptly died 20 seconds later. Loved the gun mechanic, you dont see stuff like that alot in endless runners so it was a pleasant surprise. Great potential i would love to see this expanded upon some day
great concept, and the art style is great. This could be turned into a full length game honestly. I appriciate when platformers have good controls in game jams like this with jump buffer and jump sustain (although some coyote time wouldve been appreiciated ;p). Levels are mostly well designed (except for those parts where you drop down and theres a spike in the middle.) The game is well polished too, nice job on this.
great idea, but man, the camera is just so limiting. a proper camera wouldve gone a long way in this game (probably not enough time for that, ik). As is it feels really clunky having to move the camera a full 90 degrees and its honestly kinda disorienting.
That out of the way, this game has pretty nice and intuitive controls and i love the art direction (even if its kinda hard to see at times.) Its mostly well polished and quite fun. Great job on this
beautiful art, but gameplay, while fun, is quite average.
quite difficult, but fair, collisions are wonky at times, but the dash mechanic is cool. Fish are also cool.
also volume sliders seem are broken, touching them made my game permanently silent.
However, I've noticed that the Date on the build number is from before this jam even started? I wont assume anything but its a bit fishy. (pun intended)
i might be dumb, but wow this game is VERY hard. maybe i misunderstood how the game works, but you have to move your mouse so precisely, and if you miss one note then its game over. I dont really understand the canvas on the left either.
That being said this is a very nice idea for the theme, and with some more polish this game would be amazing.
