A pretty intriguing game! Well done.

Outstanding work! Can I ask how you made it? / How did you manage your time building it?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I didn't do a lot of time management really, and I didn't have much of a plan to start lol.  I just kind of explored the influences I had chosen and they laid out the requirements of being sound-dependent and flight-based.  I had already done some work with Unity's sound analysis stuff, so I didn't have to figure that out from scratch (though it probably took the longest to fine-tune).

Sorry, that doesn't feel very helpful.  I'm happy to talk more specifically about how it was done in Discord sometime if you are interested in using any of the mechanics for something in the future.

this was great, soundtrack is amazing, and I loved the art. Really well done for a jam :D I love chilled games like this. Will you release it properly? It'd be a great mobile game :)

It's a great psychedelic piece of art! I love the music and aesthetic of this game.. playing this game is so relaxing.

This game is great! Love the soundtrack and the graphics. This is definitely a game I could see myself playing on a bus journey if it was on mobile.

I like this game so far, but I want to play it a little more before I can form a solid opinion, I will be back though, I'm definitely intrigued. Ran surprisingly smooth on my computer too :)

this is extremely polished. i dont know that i buy it being a totaly 2 day game. but great game regardless. the music was very nice. and i wouldn't knock it for being premade.

Developer

Haha well, thanks.  I promise it was made in two very long, largely sleepless days (I have a colorful commit history to prove it!) :-P

I have no way to confirm that these work, but I have attempted to provide Linux and OSX builds as requested here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yd5rxux5Jc2GFQKEZolNcfYvJLRGcFTW

Cool, thanks a lot! I'll check it out.

I absolutely loved this game!! It felt really finished even though it was done in only two days!! I love how theres more than one mode so you can challenge yourself and for some reason I was in an acid trip, the only bad thing I could think of was that there wasn't more!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! There will be more, I'm definitely gonna keep working on this one.

Really great! I love how as you get farther along, the cubs start doing cool things in line with the music. The whole game has a really impressive level of polish. At first, I didn't really like that it was hard to know where your ball was in 3D space because of the static camera angle, but eventually I came to accept staying near the middle as part of the challenge. My only real gripe is that like many other submissions, the game does not provide a button or option to exit  from the game menu, forcing players to use OS keyboard shortcuts.

Developer

Thanks for playing!  Glad you liked it.  You can quit from the in-game pause menu, but I forgot to add a quit button to the start menu.  I'll definitely do that for future releases.

Do you have a Linux build?

Developer

I don't... I'll see if I can build one after work.  I'll post it here along with an OSX build.

Developer

Here, try this link and let me know if it works for you: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yd5rxux5Jc2GFQKEZolNcfYvJLRGcFTW

Amazing music and visuals.. any chance you make a mac (or web) build?

Developer

I will make a mac build, but I can't get sound data out of webGL so I can't do a web player, unfortunately.

It seems I'm not allowed to add files while voting is in progress though, so I guess I can't add the mac build until that's over. :-/

You can put it to google drive and post a link here maybe?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, sure!  I'm at work but I'll post it here tonight.

Developer

Here is a link to the Drive folder, let me know if it works for you or if I have to compress the file.  I don't have an OSX machine to test on :-/

One of those amazing entries that makes the whole community proud! Good job man, I'd love to see you work on this, maybe expend some of the ideas. Can't wait to see what the future holds :)

Absolutelly fantastic. Must be played with music at MAX volume!

This game is very well done. At start it's not very intuitive where your sphere is placed in 3d space but after a couple of collisions you start to get a hang of it. It starts a bit too slow for my taste and I didn't really noticed a huge difference between easy and hard modes except the number of pickups. But when the music fastens and the obstacles come one after the other it feels great to dodge and shoot your way through.

The game works good. and it is fun to play. remind me of the old game with a low Polly plane on a flat surface. beside that you can expand the game with a high score system and well as a escape button so you can get back to windows.

Nice work on the game! It definitely is mesmerizing to look at and zone into. The beam coming from the player sure does help a lot in figuring out the 3D space. This game would be an awesome fit for VR (one controller/hand would be the ship).
