Nice Work, i like the setting and it's a solid adventure so far! some of the text in the tables is a bit small compared to the regular text. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to seeing where the second half of this takes us!
A fine adventure in its own right, Lost Throne is worth it for its random tables alone.
Appreciate your honesty a lot in this writing, and I’m happy that you made your submission! The idea of a dead metropolis speaks a lot to me, and the journey towards it can feel so thematic. I encourage you to keep writing, I can tell you have a lot in mind! With that said, it would benefit a lot from having more precisely defined situations for the GM to inject in the narration, as if they were LEGO blocks!
LEGO Blocks is a good analogy, I'll keep that in mind! And Thank you
Nice evocative descriptions, I can feel the oppressive air the Rotting Horde has left on this destitute region.
Regarding the passage about your lack of self-confidence, definitely give yourself a pat on the back for joining and completing the jam! It's easier said than done, and you managed to realize a nice product here. A tip for future jams and projects would be to limit the scope when facing such a limited page count maximum.
Thank you, much appreciated! I learned a lot during this jam, a lot of great publications have been submitted. I'll definitely plan the next project with more care and keep the scope much smaller so that I can focus on design and layout. Btw congrats, you have an awesome product!
Intriguing as far as a part one goes with regards to story and worldbuilding. However, this background becomes somewhat burdensome for a GM trying to improvise gameplay. Layout could also be more concise. The random tables are definitely a highlight; they are the most inspiring aspect of the adventure.
Sure thing, the background limits the GMs in there own vision. I definitely try to keep that in mind for the next jam. I had some thing much bigger in mind and mismanaged time and scope of the project, thats why the layout is so inconsistent. Thank you
Good first effort.
For future efforts, I would recommend that you focus the adventure more on a single location, with less background lore. Also, using spellcheck will really help the readability of your work.
Hey thank you, you'r right, I started 14 days late and the scope was way to big... so it turned out a bit of mess. thx for the honest feedback
Love the setting, the atmosphere is super grim and it’s got some interesting NPCs. The random tables are helpful and contribute to replay value. It would be nice to have a map for reference.
Thank you for the feedback, I'll work on a map for the next part!
