How have I only found this with 20 minutes to spare before ratings close?? It's wonderful, and it's very specifically something that my current group would love playing through, immediately if not sooner! You've densely packed each page with goodness, whimsy, and serious peril. The presentation warms my heart. Plus it's awesome that you got to playtest within the jam's timeframe! When I get to run this adventure I'll let you know how it went for us!

Developer

Thank you kindly for the support. I hope your group enjoys exploring the manor, too.

I'm getting total Secret of Nimh vibes.  This is so good.

first off love the cover art, marvellous! wonderful faction controlled dungeon and love the isometric paper underlay on the dungeon map to give an idea of size without cutting in on the beautiful harmony of the whole publication. Such a unique premise while sticking to the fundamentals of dungeon factions. I already have a group in mind to run this for!

This adventure just seems to ooze fun and whimsy as I read it. All the little evocative details added to the various NPCs should be really useful to any GM running it. I definitely had to smile at "aristo-bats". One thing I don't think I saw in there, that might be fun to add, is some means for the PCs to (accidentally) shrink one or more of themselves down to rat size, or a way to increase a few of the rodents to man-size. Just for additional mayhem.

As others have said, a really whimsical adventure with genuinely evocative factions. Has several little touches that make it a Knave adventure specifically, like the ability to fix the carriage with the coachman background.

One question - why would the bats need lit candles? Couldn't they echolocate?

Developer

The plebeians need to be able to look up and see their splendid opulence, of course. Thank you for the support.

This just oozes fun and whimsical charm. I like your note of "A party may choose to largely ignore these little peoples" but how could you not help the mice :)

This adventures got everything I like.

- A charming , potentially catastrophic and terrifying premise constantly balancing between the two.

- a detachment from good/evil where choices feel meaningful

- prohlems and puzzles with no obivous solution.

- graphics and lauyout galore!

(My wife also loved the bat!)

I'm glad you both enjoyed it and picked up on my conscious inclusions. Thank you.

The tribes and social tension between the rodents give a watership down vibe!

Really well done. The different factions being different, but related species make the cast system feel more natural than the real world. "Of course I'm better than you, I can fly".

I love everything about this. The setting, the tiny creature nations, a whole world inside a house with a mad wizard for a malicious predatory demi-god.  It's brilliant! The layout and color scheme is also easy on the eyes and made reading through it a pleasure. Excellent work!

Developer

Thank you very much for the kind sentiment.

Cosy little setting that would port well into other systems (ooking at you Mausritter!); This is ging into my Thursday Group rotation!

Developer

I'm glad to hear it, I hope you have fun with it.

"A CHARMING HOUSECRAWL FOR LOW-LEVEL MISCREANTS" is a brilliant way of describing the adventure.

It was a nice touch that the distressing on the cover appears on top of the text and artwork instead of behind it, as well as the bit of a torn back-cover on the final page for Ending the Adventure. The whole booklet is beautifully laid out. Great choice of fonts and colors and great ideas.

I love the little nations of sapient critters living in the manor. I like that you included the map of each floor on the page describing them.
Developer

Thank you for the kind words. I'm still developing my graphic design skills, and it's encouraging that you enjoy my choices.

Knave meets Mausritter! A lovely adventure :-)
I like the personality of the factions. Good use of art, love the color palette. Very clear maps, although it would be great to have maps of the courtyard and coach house as well. Great submission, it looks like very fun to run.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I wanted those areas to be a little more amorphous, but outlining them with a map is probably prudent. I appreciate your support.
