Hey, sorry for getting to this so late, but I'm really glad I got to play it. Was a really fun premise and vibe, and I'd say you are well on the way to nailing it. Needs work on the background art (the sides of the level etc) and could do with more explanation on what to do and where to go etc, but I thought it was a great idea, really funny premise and had fun playing so that's a win for me. The capsule art is hilarious, I think it's okay to make games for adults to play and have a laugh at, I know some people will inevitably be offended by that, so could put him in his undies or whatever, but tbh it's a selling point and it is funny :D
Great work, especially in such a short time.

very simplistic game. pixel art and music/sound are done well. This feels like more a prototype of concepts vs a polished game at this point. here is some feedback for you to consider.

1) a single level and game is finished seems like any replay ability is as low as it gets. i currently don't desire to play the game again without some more content or fixes.

2) objective of the game was not stated clearly and took a moment to know what the controls were and what i was supposed to collect. died twice before figuring out the controls because a fan spawned on me or very close to me both times. please make sure the player knows this stuff.

3) the title screen has "press enter to start" but for whatever reason its written sideways and off to the end of the screen. not sure if that is supposed to be like an old school record label but i feel like it doesn't work for the game. Would put that down at the bottom center instead so you don't have to search the screen to see what button you need to press to start playing.

4) the edge of the map was clearly visible. watching the fans run off the screen where i was restricted felts weird and seeing the cars move sideways stopped me in my tracks with an out loud statement of "Is this game even done?"

5) took a moment to figure out what my purpose was (collecting the guitars). please make sure the player knows what they are supposed to be doing so they don't walk away from your game because of confusion.

6) the game over graphic of the person's privates hanging out should not be in the game. this is a great way to get people to not want their kids to play your game.

7) the characters with the "love u" signs didn't always do damage to the player. not sure why they did sometimes and didn't other times.

Please make some changes to the game and let me know if you do so i can try it again.

Huge congrats on finishing your first game! Not only that, but like others said, pretty awesome premise and vibe too!

Amazing capsule art and music :) Here are my points:

- The game feels very random, first time I played it I was immediately game over because a fan spawned on top of me I think, another time two guitars were right next to me on starting;

- I found the audio for being hit by an obstacle displeasing to the point of taking me out of the experience;

- The game fails you very quick, fans seem to pass through buildings I assumed I couldn't go through, and after you've been touched a couple of times the game over screen shows up very fast;

- I won by accident after collecting the last guitar, having no idea this was the last one, maybe I missed a counter somewhere?;

- The cars are hard to anticipate and pretty fast, controls feel sluggish in comparison because diagonal movement doesn't seem to be supported;

- The pace of the game feels a little frantic, it sort of fits with the theme, but I think the experience would gained by being more controlled overall, and probably slowed down;

- There was no indication on how to start the game that I could find, ended up randomly pressing keys;

- Fans seemed to randomly rush towards me coming from nowhere without any clear indication on how I got detected in the first place, felt like the game was cheating me;

- I liked the theme and the overall retro vibe.

Good game. It's pretty simple but great for a first game.

Loved the game! I think someone else already mentioned this but the "Press enter" on the title screen was kinda hidden. I also thought the sound when you take damage was a little jarring. That is probably just personal preference.

Loved the graphics and all the other sounds.

Loved the game! Simple and sweet. My only gripe with it would be WASD controls, or maybe even controller support, since it only requires movement and nothing else, so I assume it should be easy to set up (it is in Unity anyway, not sure what you used here).

Great game! Love the premise and the music. I wasn't too sure of the controls but quickly figured them out.  Also on the start screen I didn't see the press enter to start for a while.

I love the premise and the music! \nn/ >.< \nn/.
Here are my thoughts:
1. Good pixel art. Charismatic and funny.  I would have expected more rock-punk vibes in the city, like graffitis or posters of the rock start you play.
2. The first time i played the game, I didn't have any audio, and I thought that was the game, until I finished the level, and the victory sound started. In my second play, the music and SFX worked as expected.
3. At first, I wasn't sure what to do. I would add a screen before the level starts that explains the controls, and the goal is to collect electric guitars, while evading fans and other stuff.
4. The level felt short, there could be more guitars. For example,  after getting a certain number, new guitars spawn on the stage.

Wow, the sound track is amazing! This has really cool vibes from the get go. Full of attitude and style.

It took me a while to spot the 'press enter to play' down the side of the screen. I would suggest making that a bit more obvious, but I really like the idea of the vinyl coming out of the sleeve, so cool. At least it gave me more time to enjoy the soundtrack.

I had no problems with the gameplay other than fans clipping through scenery and that getting hit by a car makes the character lose clothes.

Great job on finishing the game and I think you've got tonnes of style!

Great job on completing this!

This game is full of style and character, I really dig it! Short but sweet, and has a strong arcade-feel. I can see this being ported to an arcade cabinet and folks lining up to play it. It's loud, the visuals are great in terms of expression, and it's got that nice, open city plan to roam around getting items and trying to avoid fangirls and traffic.

Don't know about the dangly bit, might have to leave him in undies. But it's pretty funny either way.

Would be curious to see where this game could go if expanded upon and polished. Well done!
