…little too relatable. Babe in the game could use some self-care. <3

Yeah… It’s a little bit of how I treated myself during the last 6-7 years. Now I’m learning to do better I think.

Thanks for the comment!

Oof. Well speaking from experience… antidepressants help, therapy helps, and knowing that the Asshole Brain telling you these things is fictional and just a result of brain chemistry helps a lot.

The fight never really ends, but with the right tactics you will win a lot more than you lose.

Yes, I’m getting better, the game intended to be a little bit of a reminder for myself and way to tell people to stop treating themselves like this. :)

Now I’m well enough to realize how bad I was treating myself. The struggle continues. Take care!

It’s also funny to see how most of the people taking part in the jam had similar experiences haha

Dark. I’m not sure what the opposite of escapism is but I’d hazard a guess that this game is it

Thanks for playing!

This game is a bit too realistic. Still thank you for it!

Thank you for the game. Unfortunately it was not quite relatable enough, with me being able to go outside consistently in-game, but we can’t have everything I suppose.

I managed to get it to run on Guile 2.2.7 by just replacing (iota (length menu) 1) with (map (lambda (x) (+ x 1)) (iota (length menu))). Typing anything less than 1 does crash.

I thought it was going to work in guile2 but a friend just told me it doesn’t!

Thanks for the proposed fix!

Developer

BTW: Looks like it doesn’t work with Guile2. Try Guile3

Story of my life ;) Fun little time waster, hits close to home for people with depression. I was not able to win or loose this game and got into an endless loop after I maxed my depression and minimized Tiredness. Perhaps this was intended?

Developer

You can’t win if you are fighting against yourself. Glad it hit close to home, it was what I tried to achieve. :)
