That is a fun game, great music! I love the concept of mixing the classic snake type game with enemies to avoid. I  think it could help add depth to gameplay if the snake grew in length when you eat an apple like in the original game. This also gives another reason to eat the fruit while increasing the difficulty because you have more body segments to protect.

It would be nice to see some more frames of animation for the graphics and some texture on the snake. I also had an idea that it could be fun if there was a powerup that allowed the snake to eat the mongooses like pac man. I hope you continue working on it!

Hi,

The theme and its interpretation are well revealed. It's pretty cool to have a mechanism like the hissing that scares off the magnust, as well as its use due to the size of the snake. Good music!

Maybe there would be the possibility of continuous movement like in the classic snake game, and also the possibility of eating yourself :).

When you first start the game, you have to press the Space button to start, but it seems you can press any button :).

It was fun, congratulations!

Interesting take on Snake! I'm used to versions that are always in motion, but I think having full control is better with the mongooses (mongeese? xP). I think it would be cool to add a badger or some other enemy that spawned every 20 apples and more actively hunted the player until some amount of time passed or number of apples were collected. Great work!

This is a really fun game!

I think you've done a very good job between the balance between the speed of the snake, the otter (I think?) speed, how often apples spawn, and also how otters seem to guard apples that they are near.

Very fun!

Others have already said this, but I also thought the darker blocks were walls at first. It's simple, but actually quite enjoyable - I liked the idea of the snake becoming shorter with each damage, naturally making it a bit easier.

Quite entertaining, I spent a good while trying to reach 100 points and I did it, a very replayable game.

I had quite a lot of fun playing this entry! Mongoose behavior is really good, and I love the stealth aspect of the game. High Score is 84 so far. Did I like this game waay more than I thought I would....heck YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

yo, another snake game besides mine, that's awesome! i like the concept of this game a lot, it is actually pretty challenging. the visuals confused me a fair bit at first, i thought the green blocks were supposed to be walls that blocked my movement so i treated them as such for a fair amount of time lol. once i got over that hurdle, i had a great time juking the mongoose and collecting the fruit. i also really like how you need multiple fruit to recover a segment, that's a nice touch. the game can feel a little bit button mashy, i would've preferred if the snake moved automatically just like in a regular snake game. overall, not bad at all, great job!

I like the theme of mongoose vs snake mixed with the classic game of snake with the apples. I think the gameplay would be better with a few more elements to it. Perhaps the apples could give you a short speed boost. The mongoose could move faster but more erratically to make them easier to dodge, but still hard to predict.

Fun Game!
I love that the snake gets smaller as the mongoose's deal damage. I think I noticed the snake growing in length a bit as I ate food, but it wasn't very noticeable.
Tried to get as high of a score as I could. Got somewhere around 50. Maybe taking damage and turning the snake into just a head isn't the most optimal way to play lol.

The different colored green tiles were confusing at first. Thought I couldn't walk onto the dark green ones.
Would love to see a music track added in the future!

Enjoyed playing!
