Ok, this is next level for a jam game... You really nailed how satisfying it feels to connect the attacks. Brilliant!

Developer

Thank you for the kind comment.

Really fun game, really nice graphics and art, the mechanics are fluid and really well made, and really challenging

Developer

Glad to hear it.

Great fun, the attack feels really satisfying once you've figured out the timing. All packaged up nicely too!

Developer

Glad to hear it! Combat satisfaction was the main thing I was aiming for. :D

Congrats! Very interesting mechanics. It's strange because it looks slow, but at the same time, it's hard to win... I would try it faster but crazy for sure!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Really fun game, but I can’t beat the first boss haha

Developer

It's a hard game, so it's fine if you don't beat it.

Thanks for playing!

Playing it is fun but hard. If your attacks connects its pretty satisfying !

Developer

Glad to hear your thoughts!

Awesome Game with amazing graphics, audio, and game feel. I think the connection to the theme is a bit loose but otherwise awesome entry! =D

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

At first I was going for a laggy hitbox kind of game. I changed the delayed hitbox into the shadow though. So, I get what you mean.

This is one of the satisfying slasher game. I like the slow-motion in this game.

I am a little disappointed to see the actor being a ball in the game and the poster shows a different character. But the art is all good. I enjoy this much.

Developer

Thank you for playing.

Also, I'm sorry for the disappointment, but I just wanted to practice my drawing skills so the poster ended up that way XD

Looks and feels really good!

Developer

Glad to hear it

Very nice! Couldn't beat the last one tho XD

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.

And yeah. It's a hard game, so it's okay if you don't beat all the levels :D

Very fun but also challenging!

Developer

Thanks!

The game really tests one's ability to stay calm in the heat of battle... one false move, and it's *Death*! It feels very satisfying when chopping down enemies with a few nicely timed dashes! I love the character and sword animations, so smooth! The way the tutorial is spliced into gameplay is genius. Well done on a superbly made game! :D

Thank you! Glad to hear it.

Liked it.

Nice Game !

A simple mechanic but very well used. The boss fights are very challenging but also very engaging.

Loved the visual effects on the dashes (especially on the last boss) & managing to combo several enemies in 1 go feels very rewarding.

Few feedbacks if you plan to iterate on it :

  • The player could use an IFrame to avoid being killed in one hit when hit by multiple enemies (which can be very punitive & frustrating)
  • I had a bit of difficulties to differentiate the anticipation frames on the boss attacks in level 3. Maybe make it more obvious (change of color, blinking ?)
  • Sometimes the enemies go out of the screen making it impossible to anticipate their next attack. (this one can be very frustrating if you get killed by an attack you could not see coming)

Appart from that, Very solid entry. Great job ! :)

Thanks for the constructive criticisms! I appreciate it so much.

Especially your 3rd point. I was actually curious if people had a problem with it, so thank you.

The game is very cute =)

Developer

thanks!

I was watching the development of this game and it didn't disappoint. I love the sword visuals. I will say at first it was hard for me to figure out how to attack the sword enemies, but once I figured it out you did a good job of providing visual feedback for what was blocked and what wasn't! All together well done!

Developer

I tried to make the game hard but feels satisfying to win, so I'm so happy to read this comment.

Really loved this one. Please flesh it out more, you've got something special here! Good luck with the jam!

Wow! Smooth! I love the sprites and the music and slash sound effects. Great job! Can you provide arrow controls in the next update as a choice instead of wasd?

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Sure, I can add arrow keys controls after the jam. :D

Thanks!
