Did you work in a team?
Just me. It was fun!

Was the resolution a challenge?
Since I already favor pixel art turn-based games, the main challenge I faced was that displaying text became tricky.

What did you learn?
I entered to prototype a game mechanic and see how it played. The lowres format worked well for that.

Absolutely loved it, reminded me of Hoplite but with hand-crafted levels rather than randomly generated - please make more!

Really excellent. I love the restrained palette and the old-school characters. They puzzle is also cool and ramps up in an appropriate manner.

I also had to put a lot of thought into how I did text; it ended up being one of the most time-consuming parts of my project because I had to draw it all by hand. But just like yours, it meant I had to figure out how to use text creatively rather than relying on it to display information.

Came back to rate this one, i love puzzle games like this! this one does a turn of the screw above the roguelike classic game's genre and transforms it into a puzzle

Great concept, we want to play it again and again.
The puzzles are cool and progressive. I love the levels with the boss

Great game. You did a fantastic job of illustrating the required mechanics without text, and the rooms were challenging without being off-putting. The sounds and art were very polished, and it felt like a complete game. The last series of rooms were especially fun. Excellent work.

Super super super smart concept perfectly executed ( the learning curve is perfectly paced ) and served by nice art! Fantastic job !

This game is fantastic! I love every part of it. The music was good, the sprites are fantastically retro and even the color choices are great. The best part is how well each room is planned and crafted for this perfectly-executed style of combat. The difficulty scales well and I love each enemy and their unique attacks. Great job!

Excellent game! I really loved the mechanics. Despite the 64x64 limit you were able to explain what needed to be done. Difficulty progressed smoothly. Atmosphere felt right. Pixel art looks great. One of my favorite games of the jam. 5/5/5/5

Oh yeah, only complaint was that the music felt out of place, but I just muted it.

This game is brilliant, it remembers me to helltaker, but this has it's own style and mechanics

This is smart! The mechanisms are really simple but also brings a lot of fun.

Thanks! : )

Easily one of my favorite so far! I think maybe in a full fledged version I'd explain the mechanic timing a bit more otherwise it super solid. I did soft lock the game somehow lol.

When you're on this screen when you press z on the downstairs icon while being targeted it causes you to vanish, Locking the game. Otherwise amazing game.

Thank you! And thanks for the heads up - that is a weird soft lock. I'll try to replicate and fix it.
