How does your game fit the Magical Girl Genre?
Alicia must become a Magical Girl in order to rescue her father and sister from the abyss; she uses a magical gun called 'Chronos

Which theme(s) do you pick?
I pick theme #3 "More passionate than hope, far deeper than despair." (from Puella Magi Madoka Magica).

How does your game fit those theme(s)?
I choose "Deepest Despair" based on the words 'deeper' and 'despair'

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
The assets were created by me during the jam: pixel art (characters and tiles created in Aseprite), music (made with the DAW Reaper using Roland D-50 VSTi for instruments), sounds (mostly created with my voice and some effects in Audacity), programming in GdScript using Godot Engine, the voice heard at the beginning was generated with VoiceVox (a Japanese text-to-speech software), and the backgrounds were created with AI and edited in Photoshop.

Wasn't expecting it to turn creepy like that, but it definitely gave the game more of a hook. The stopping enemies in space was pretty cool, although some more feedback on it might be useful, since the first few times I used it, the monster hadn't moved yet, so I really didn't know what it was doing until later on.

Speaking as a coward, the atmosphere was set up pretty nicely to be spooky, yet not so tough for me to finish, so I appreciate that.

Thanks for uploading!

Love the pixelate nature of the game. Music is nice and the gameplay are quite good. Ok jumping is a bit floaty but still great to control. The idea of stopping specific monster by the clock is really fun. But boy it is hard, 1 hit and you are done. Not a bad thing though you can just keep on trying.

My only complaint is that there's no button to reset the room so you could try just that.

The twist is welcoming. So dark and hopless. That ending tho haha.

Overall, love it!

The art is pretty good, although it seems you ran out of time to make any actual build-up for the last twist scene to matter, the execution of atmosphere when the dark twist happens is pretty decent.

I like the music.

also, that one carrot bothered me so much, I spent 10 minutes trying to reach that damn carrot, hoping something would happen, eventually, I gave up.

sadly, I would have liked the game to last much longer to increase the tension and emphasize the transition of the horror atmosphere. The number of carrots collected was going to determine the type of ending :) . Thank you for playing!

SFX are busted pretty bad. I didn't get very far, but you still get a thumbs up for a cool bunny girl.  <3

That's terrible. The moment with the horror part reminded me of Fear and Hunger, but I didn't see the point of the scenes.

"The ending is open to interpretation :D, thank you for playing."

Wow, really cool music! I like the art too, but the gameplay could use some polish... You die in one hit, and the jump feels pretty... floaty. The map doesn't have much sense of direction, so I died a few times without knowing where to go and ultimately gave up.

Developer

I completely agree, unfortunately, I ran out of development time, and I couldn't polish the gameplay very well. Thanks for playing it :D
