EXELENT!
Wow! What a great entry - THIS is a mech game!
It is a great feeling to build the mech, go out there, get blown up, adjust the build and try again!
The look of the explosions, the mechs and their stompy feet, the enemy audio and who couldn't love that cover art...
A perfect one for me, well done!
Fantastic game! Tried a few builds but I didn't manage to beat the dropship at the end, too hard for me lol But it really felt like a Mech Warrior game with how you guild you mech and use the weapon loadouts. Loved all the enemy voice lines as well, even if they could get a bit repetitive. Brought me back to older games with cheesy voice lines like that, I love it.
No complaints except that I want more! Great work!
One of the best retro game of the jam, without a doubt. Turning the mech feels a bit floaty (the mech keep turning a bit too much after you let go the key), and mouse sensitivity over the top... untile you find the menu to lower it :)
But those are minor flaws, pointed out just to give some useful feedback next to a well deserved "great game"
The mech is meant to 'drift' more when the ordnance weight is higher, to make it feel heavier - but it seems like there's a bug that makes it drift the same at all weights, and it's tuned a bit too high across the board. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll fix it for the next update. Glad to hear you enjoyed it otherwise, and I really liked your entry.
This truly felt like a mechwarrior entry, the controls, the weapon alignment, being able to put multiple weapons into different slots, the intensity of the first burst fire ooof I loved this a lot!
Damn this is good. Really have an itching to go play some Mechwarrior after this.
Loved messing around with builds to try and find the best combo.
One of those jam games where I really can't find anything to criticise, it was great!
This was great! I really enjoyed the loadout options. I wish there was a way to regain ammunition (or repair my arms)
Awesome game. Really liked the retro art style.
Wow! So many great things about this. Mech customization, destructable limbs, the cooldown system for each weapon, the very dynamic UI, the lore, and more!
That's an impressive Mech Warrior like game :o
Plus i really like how you really set it appart by having your own lore mech types etc... the enemy faction's background in particular is super interesting, and i like that you had them chatter over radio any time you encounter them, it really adds tons to the imersion factor i.m.o ^^
The gamefeel is also incredibly well replicated but with the more modern twist of proper mouse aiming, and especially the ability to have firegroups bound directly to mouse buttons instead of number keys makes a huge difference.
Visually this is also amazing cause you've made it look like the originals, and i like how in a way the camo textures and glass reflections on the cockpits made it more like the Mercenaries in 3D accelerated render mode XD
I'm not all that skilled but i had so much fun getting a few objectives and Mechs down playing this, the best i managed to do was to get only the dropship left to destroy but couldn't cause i got wrecked so bad by the part where you're a bit outnumbered that i had no weapons left to shoot it and died quickly after. But it was still a blast !
Congrats and well done :)
I had a ton of fun with this one! Really great to play. Really made me miss this style of game! :D
Damn a lot went into this! Between the customization, the story, the voice clips, and the presentation, I was legitimately surprised at how much you all managed to do. I LOVED the aesthetic, and I thought the customization was a really nice addition. My only issue is that I wished the mech controls/mechanics were more clear in game; when I initially played, I had no idea about the different aiming mechanics, the vision modes, or that weapon groups existed. I didn't know until I closed the game, went to the actual game page, and saw how much I missed. Definitely going to go back and try again with this knowledge, though, because I had a great time with it overall.
Loved loved loved it. You managed to make it feel so accurate to the games that inspired it, but also make it feel more modern at the same time. Awesome entry!
Love it! I loved customizing the mech and trying out each different weapon. My favorite loadout was mainly guns on the gimbals which I manually aimed, and then 2 Cannons on the cockpit on my right click. Satisfying mech combat and awesome visuals. The particle effects remind me of cruelty squad, and I really like the aesthetic of the advanced wireframe view, and being able to see enemy part health. Lots of well designed features that work well together. It took me a few tries to beat that last group of mechs but it was very satisfying once I did. I like the enemy's occasional voice lines about the princess. Super fun Game!
this is incredibly good, art style is simple and readable, the customization is nice, gameplay executed well.
fun game, really liked the audio, well done
