As the previous reviewer said it's great to see a game on here where your being a pacifist instead of destroying everything that moves haha (I am guilty of that with my teams game).

I also cacked up laughing when I saw one of the bins hit a refugee and realised they are probably more durable than the mech itself!

Good fun thank you :)

Developer

Thank you! It seems like non-violence is really a hit. Definitely going to keep that in mind for future projects!

Lol at the refugee "bug". They were originally supposed to take damage but I think now this feature is 'working as intended' xD

Fun game! I like that you're saving people instead of blowing things up. Art and audio were great and the simple controls felt fantastic. My only complaints would be that it felt a bit easy and I feel like the survivor should die if they get hit by a flying piece of debris. But other than that, very nice start to a game! Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback! There was supposed to be a feature where the survivor's were taken out by debris but we had to cut the feature due to time constraints. Maybe we will patch it in in the future haha. Glad you enjoyed playing!

Nice little game, had a lot a 80's sci-fi vibes - like the music, SFX, etc - sort of like the old RoboCop game. I think the gameplay itself could be varied, but other than that, great job!

Developer

Thank you!

The music was very nice the whole way through.

How did you choose to when and what obstacles to spawn and throw at the player?

Developer

Thank you! The obstacles are spawned at random to simulate a storm.

I see.  Thanks for sharing

This was fun to play! I saved people and finished the level. The controls were easy and the idea was simple - that's what I like in a game. I liked the concept of the mecha saving people. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you very much for the kinds words!

Cool concept and combining of 2 themes ^^

I like the gameplay's simplicity where it's just move around rescue people and reach then end of the level.

The sprites look really good as well, and i really dig the music of the game.

I didn't have any particular issues here, though i had a funny moment (and i suppose this isn't intended) where one of the refugees was just there chilling with a trashcan stuck on him and as soon as he hopped in the mech the can just flew away :p

Overall had a good time trying it out, good job to you guys :)

Developer

Appreciate the words! Thank you very much!

Glad you enjoyed! Had a blast making all the pixel art for this game.
First time flexing my skills like this. Who knew apocalyptic mecha assets would be so fun to build?
