Love the name of this game, lol, as well as the general silly vibe. This really stands out between all the serious, darker entries with its goofy, funky atmosphere. Love the animations as well, with little details like the clouds that appear when jumping. Movement feels fun as well. The basics are there for a great game, but there's room for improvements (well, as for all game jam games).
Text ideally shouldn't auto-skip but wait for player input to move on, and hints no longer need to appear after the first time (they kind of kept blocking the view). Also, after being hit by something, where the game decided to place me seemed a bit random. It sometimes put me ahead in the game, letting me skip the obstacle I died on. I mean, I'll take the help, but it felt a bit cheat-y x)
I too found a wall-bug accidentally: jumping into a wall pushed me through it, after which I could move inside of the walled area (but not get out of it).
I got stuck in the area with the mole; I didn't have the key for the door, and seemed like all I could do there was go in a circle back to the mole, with no way to progress.
All in all though, fun entry. Nice to see such variation in this jam.
Thanks for your valuable feedback ๐
In future, I'll definitely consider making it a polished version and release it on Playstore.
Neat little entry. Had a couple bugs, I got stuck in a wall 10 seconds after starting, tried to reload from the menu and ended up talking to the rat over a blue screen. Not sure what happened but restarting got me back. I liked it though. Movement was satisfying, although I'm unsure what part of the saws (I think they're saws?) got me each time I died. Nice one!
thanks for the feedback,
definitely will polish my game in future.
First of all, great name! The game was super cute and all the vfx made it feel put together. Chatting with the NPCs was delightful. Great Job!
Thanks ๐
Loved the humour in the game. The characters and dialogue were my favourite part, next to turning into an egg. I found a few bugs; there's an area leading to the scarecrow with invisible collision, and as someone else said going downstairs from the starting area leads to empty space where I went off screen and couldn't come back. This lead me to restarting from the last checkpoint which put me in conversation for giving the Mole his glasses, only text boxes no art, and that was it. I then had to restart the game which reset my sock and egg progress but didn't reset the dialogues.
Overall some minor bugs but I enjoyed playing
Thanks for the feedback, it really means a lot to me.๐
Your feedback help the game a lot, i will definitely continue the project after game jam results and about the ending part it's lead to the second area in game but, i have to drop the idea because of limited time.
There are a lot of bugs but it's your sweetness that you say few bugs.
I liked rolling too much with the egg that I probably ended up in a zone that wasn't supposed to yet. After taking the down smash power I jumped across the gap remembering that there was one of those breakable stones but when I got under there I found empty rooms and couldn't progress.
Was fun the level where good and I liked the happy chicken strolling around!
Really appreciated your positive response for my game, It means a lot to me.
talk about those, after breaking first ever stone you will enter a new location, but I have to drop the idea because there's not much time left(cause of game jam), I also decided many new abilities and obstacles for the many new locations (here's a overview of map).
Oh ok so I was heading toward Momo Meadow! So it's all fine I tought I broke the game instead it's an area not added yet. Beautiful work and keep up I like the plan and map you have prepared
Very cool art style! I also liked the UI styling a lot overall, I just felt that the hint panels took up a bit too much of the screen and popped up a bit too frequently. I also had a lot of issues with teleporting to seemingly random places upon taking damage, even inside the level at one point. I like the general chicken theming though, with the egg powerup being a standout to me.
thanks for the feedback ๐
And about the teleportation system,
I used a code method that calculate the least distance from player to respawn point and then respawn him there, but after making half of the game, i realized it doesn't work for metroidvania, but i will well-worked for the linear levels game.
Your feedback means a lot to me ๐ฅฐ
Nice game the art is very good and catchy , I like the music tho it went silent all of a sudden.
I like the idea and the progression and the level design.
I don't like how the dialogue autoskips itself I don't read that fast , and tips box takes too much screen space.
It's does have a lot of bugs it's clip city in there and the character controller doesn't feel very good it feels kinda clunky at times (sorry Tarodev).
Thanks for the feedback, love your humor btw
i really don't have any time to anything further or even fix some of the major bugs but simple to fix, i really apologize and will consider to improve most of things in future
Gameplay was fun itself but sometimes bags appeared: when you transform into a egg and back to chicken player starts gliding on the ground like an egg. Tips appearing too often. Like the idea with player abilities and chicken thing itself. Despite bags i enjoy playing your game!
thanks for the feedback ๐
And about the tips thing, i really do these things at the very last moments but still manages to make it better looking.
Cool game, the art looks very nice and consistent, the music gives the game a cheerful sort of vibe and the precision platformer style felt good to play in (I went with a precision platformer style in my entry too)!
appreciate that bro, but music isn't mine...
Sorry, I accidently uploaded the wrong file, now i reuploaded i
