Ohhh, nice. Some really interesting decisions made here. Slowing movement to attack felt like a great tradeoff, especially w/ the gradual release back to full speed. Also, oh man the animation of the sword back into its sheath felt so satisfying.
I almost wanted a timer on the level to discourage holding the sword the whole time. "Always attack" is a dominant strategy here (though naturally discouraged because it makes the game more boring and slow).
Felt really well tuned. The vision mechanic keeps you on your toes, and allows for a densely packed maze, turning the corner in a square of adjacent tiles with no walls is something you can't really do in other games. Very cool.
Character design was very polished, nice job pulling this off all by yourself.
Thx! The art was made by 0x72, there's link to his work on the game's page. But thx for noticing weapon animation! I was kinda amazed how easy it was to make.
Timer will make a game more tense and, as you said, the game should be playable for non pros(like we are xD), and the last level is kinda big, so I can't pass it first time every playthrough, feels like pure luck.
I think the vision range should be double what it is, often enemies would appear on top of me and I wouldn't have a choice but to lose some health before killing them. I could get around this by swinging constantly.
I liked the art style a lot!

really cool concept, was quite confused in the beggining

The random maze generation is really cool and unique. I also liked being able to play with multiple characters and weapons.
Great maze game and the randomly generated maze is done well.
Thx! I used this algorithm, not the first time I use it.
Beat the game haha, no matter how i feel ready for enemy to comes, its always surprising me x'D, great game <3
cute little game, this character tho doesn't move in the webgl version, also i couldn't restart either
Can you repeat that bug? Characters only vary in animations and sprites, so it shouldn't influence collisions or movement
i will try to repeat it again if i can
Really cool style, the mazes are really cool! I loved playing this, good job!
What a throwback, reminds me a lot of some of the earlier pokemon gold gyms!
Lots of fun, although I suck at combat in this game
Good concept, with more polish this game could turn out to be great!
Nice pixelart and interesting gameplay!
this is rly impressive, my favorite part was seeing all the combos of characters and weapons. i ended up always attacking since there was no downside but maybe you could add an attack cooldown or something to prevent that
You are slowed down when you're attacking. Tho you can click once a second or so when it's checked to finish the animations, but it requires skill.
I turned into an auto butcher... haha
Interesting concept. It's very claustrophobic but it works. I think maybe this could defeat the purpose but if tiles got permanently lit after being walked on it'd be a bit more comfortable to play I think. But I like it! Good job!
Can't agree with permanent lit tiles cos you will just see tiles, but not walls. Cos walls are invisible. On the other hand, if I'd made visible walls - maybe it'd work, but then there's other problems. So it was just easier
Thx 4 the feedback
Oh you're completely right, walls are invisible, it would be impossible to do that. And well, darkness does add to the mood of the game haha.
Cool idea. Bit hardcore but great thinking :) Like the game
Cool looking game. I like the art and animation, and the music fits the whole vibe of the game. Everything is random, really a great use of limitation. Again, everything is random, but not your score :D Great stuff!
I really like the art and animations. I wish I had an idea of where I was going though, I was constantly lost throughout the whole thing.
Exit is always in the right top corner. Everything else is random
