Nice art, and the idea of using a Candy Crush like, but adding the tower defense feature was really nice! Good job!
Gosh, this game was so much fun! I wouldn't have thought to use the mechanic you did in this way, but it really works well! Took a bit for me to figure out what to do, admittedly. However, once I did, it was great! Awesome graphics and the music really suits too.
One criticism would be to have the Retry button appear when you die. Cause I had to refresh my browser in order to restart the game. Otherwise, great job!
Yes, i think for my next gamejam i need to work on "readability", or a tutorial!
Retry button was in the game, but i broke it while implementing the winning screen. Kind of ironic i guess.
I'm not usually a fan of match-3 type games, but this one is actually pretty fun :D Very nice, polished-looking graphics and animations as well!
Woah, making a genre fun for someone is huge praise, thank you!
Beautiful style, good mehanic!!
The mechanics were pretty well implemented into the concept!
A cool twist on a classic concept. The controls can feel a bit weird at first but I got used to it. Great art style and chill music, keep it up!
The art style is great , Gameplay is nostalgic ,I had a bug when i die that the game doesnt end , But really cool game !
Overall a cool concept! Felt a bit incomplete when it came to death and progression (ie levels, time, etc), but besides that definitely was a unique and fun game! Took me back to my days of played Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook :’) Great job!
Thank you! Awakening that Nostalgia is a plus in my book!
Yeah, i feel like im getting better at setting a realistic scope every jam, but there for sure is stuff missing that would have made for a much more polished experience.
Nice and very addictive game! I like the art and the soundbox! Seeing how the level of poison grows is cool too. Using the slotbar is a bit difficult at the beginning but you get used to it and throwing 5 bottles of poison in a row is a real plus! A "retry" button when we die might be incorporated to play again and again without reloading the page.
However, great game!!
Thank you! A retry was actually added, but i broke it shortly before submitted.
I'm glad you enjoy it!
Great visuals! Loved that you tried to innovate on the match 3 concept, you may need to reward the player for throwing more potions at a time (maybe a scoring combo system)
You could rethink the controls, currently the right hand moves from mouse to keyboard, maybe only assigning a number per color, pressing the number adds the potion to the queue? This could make it smoother to play.
Also, lower the music volume and add a lose panel / retry button, but this is polishing. Loved playing it!
There was a game over screen, sadly i broke it shortly before submitting!
Yes, controls are definetly something i would do different now, but i didn't have the time to change them sadly. Thats honestly something that happened quite a bit during this jam, guess i have to plan things out in detail more beforehand!
Typical gamejam! We had to cut LOTS of content just before time limit hit :D
Quite fun. whilst not the most original concept, being a match game, the way its implemented to make poison and the story behind it really works quite well! Controls can be a confusing at first but I got used to it. I really like the art style and the music really fir the game idea well. Good job!
Thank you!
Really cool concept, I just found that mixing potions (matching 3) sometimes didn't yield any throwable potions? Either way, really cool game, and I love to see another Godot user!
You basically have to match 5 Potions to get a throwable one. Thats what the balls on the right indicate, could have made that clearer.
Thanks for your feedback!
