Had an issue clicking arrows that were overlapped, but I can always respect a DDR game. Fun song as well!

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

Also, congratulations on winning the Jam!

I really love the concept and I really wanted to enjoy the game too but the difficulty is just way too high on this one. The hit boxes for the arrows is very unforgiving and felt like you needed to be near frame perfect to get even a good to register. A how to play section in the game or even in the project description would be a huge addition. Because of how close the arrow hit detection were, the first time around I honestly wasn't sure if I was hitting the right buttons. I think if the song started out a bit easier and did not have that long pause right at the start so players got eased into it, I would have had a lot more fun. That said, the core idea behind it and song was actually really great. I also thought the visuals were really hilarious too. Definitely tricky but glad I played and I think the game is good, with just a little more difficulty tuning it could really be fantastic.

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

The update was focused on fine tuning the difficulty: with Normal and Hard options and a clear indications on when you've reached a new level. Also a tip, even if you only get an OK when hitting a note it won't take away from your streak.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to try it again. Outside of the high difficulty, what you had was so great that I really wanted to see more of it.

Really fun concept, the music and presentation were really standing out ! I love the design of the disco dragon and the dancing knight : the rythm game was quite challenging the more the song continues, definitely will give it a couple of retries. Cool game!

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

I've tried to make it much cleared when the game gets harder. Plus I've updated the victory screen if you manage to make it all the way.  ;)

Nice music and nice presentation of the game, good visuals!

This game really had me jamming to the music! I love the concept and the graphics, especially the little knight on the DDR pad on the right in the main game. The dragon was funny as well. Would love to see some juicing on when you hit the note so it can really feel good when you land the beats. I got destroyed when the parts with the double notes came in, which is a classic for me in rhythm games since my brain just cannot multitask. One day I'll beat it!

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

The update was focused on fine tuning the difficulty, so I could't add more juice even if that would have been really cool.  But with the difficulty getting fixed, maybe today you'll manage to beat the double notes. ;)

Hilarious concept and presentation--loved the animation of the knight on the side, though sadly I rarely got to see him actually dance (because I'm terrible, but seeing him flail around was very cute as well). I like rhythm games a lot (though I'm not particularly good at them), but I struggled a lot. I feel like the timing may be a little desynced (it felt like the game wanted inputs too early). Def way out of the scope of a jam game but offset adjustment would be amazing in case it's something on my end (that isn't just a skill issue :P). Finally, I think there's a bug with the high score (assuming your gold is your score?), since mine stayed at zero no matter how many times I tried... but to be fair that's a pretty accurate assessment of my skill level :) Good job and I would love to see where this goes!

There was indeed a bug with the high score, and a tricky one too, but now it's fixed. Also, don't get demoralized, just try to get as far as you can. And if you beat Level 25 you can offically say you're good at rhythm games. ;)

Oh god, I’m awful at rhythm games

Very fun, wish it had difficulty settings so I could listen to the entire thing haha

disco dragons <3

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

Now it has difficulty settings! And if you want to listen to the whole song you just look up Django Django in youtube (just don't tell them I stole their music to make a disco dragon dance)

This is soo cool. I wish i was better at rythm games so i could actually listen to the full song without dying T-T

I really enjoyed the unique concept and art style of your game! The thumbnail caught my attention, and the dancing knight was a fun surprise (I kind of hope I was playing as the dragon though haha). The animations and art style definitely added to the overall charm.

However, I encountered some challenges while playing. Typically, dance games start right into the dancing segment, so it felt a bit unusual to begin with just one arrow followed by a 20-second pause without any arrows at all for the song's intro (maybe a different song would avoid this problem?). Additionally, jumping straight into Expert+ difficulty with endless chaining for the first song was quite intense and might be overwhelming for players new to this type of game.

If your game features multiple songs, having a music selection option could be good too since the first song didn't fully grab me.

I also experienced technical issues with arrows not spawning consistently. It seems like there may be a problem related to losing focus of the game or changing tabs in the browser when the game is running that affects arrow spawning and gameplay synchronization.

Technical issues aside, nice work and looking forward to seeing how your game evolves!

Hey, I'm just informing everyone I've released a post-jam update.

I've tied to fix most of the problems you mentioned, with difficulty settings, cleared indication on when you go up a level, and a new beggining chart. There is a dificullty spike at Level 25, but that was always intentional, and with my testing even that should be beatable. I would really appreciate it if you gave the game another try.
