Really liking the aesthetic you've got going.
I too struggled with picking things up, particularly with other objects in my ball getting in the way and making me bounce over things.
I also didn't feel the tension of the time limit until the game was close to over. Have you considered starting with a lower time limit, but adding special objects that the player can absorb to extend the time limit once they're big enough?
Thankyouuu so muuch. yeah the struggle is because i didnt actually play it until the deadline passed, so, in the next version of the game the gameplay is adequate to be playable.
About the time limit, i had an idea about every ten seconds the time gets an animation that makes it bigger, and i added a subtitle saying "time left 00:00". And about a special items, im not going to add it because the game is like uhh; the beetle does his daily job of grabbing food for him and his wife, so like, adding time to that daily routine doesnt feel suitable for the lore game hehe
Great game .Simple .and Fun ,only thing i struggled with is How to pick things (I was dumb) ,The hitbox for picking things is VERY annoying ,The timer is too low for me bc I don't rly play these kind of games .Maybe add a option menu to select the time... But this game IS VERY FUN :D
Yeah, the collision for picking up is pretty small compared to how it should be to make a fun gamee, its not your fault at all. And yeah, the time selection is a good a ideaa.

The hitboxes for picking things up feel a bit too small, so instead of fast paced frantic fun you have to trundle around slowly hoping to connect with things, since getting up any speed means the first bump you hit sends you flying into the air. It also would've been good to have the camera zoom out as you get bigger, by the time my ball turned green it felt like it was covering the majority of the screen. It's still pretty fun and the theming really fits with the gameplay.
I will answer first about the zooming out because its there xddd. But yeah, you are correct, i needs more zoom out.
About the collision, i didnt have the chance to actually play it until the deadline happened and i even couldnt get to the big ants, so im going to fix that collision to make it more fun, i think that increasing the mass of the ball makes it less fun as well.
And thank you very muuch for playingg and noticing the flaaaws, im grateful to see what things i can improvee
