My interpretation is a little more aesthetic than mechanic, you simply flip coins into a well to progress. Feel free to make some wishes!

This was an artistic take on a game jam! A soothing experience and a great chance of inner reflection, much like how birthday wishes or tarot spreads work. (I'd really hope if the sun could tell me something at the end!)
The "you still have wishes to make" part moves me for no apparent reason. Is that the reason we go on living our lives?
Coincidentally, here in China everyone is celebrating the upcoming lunisolar new year with new wishes. Wish you a joyous, prosperous, and authentic year of the Snake! ^ ^
Thank you for your kind words, they really mean a lot! I hope you have an amazing new year as well!
The retro art style is very charming and engaging. A great game!
Thanks for playing!
hi !
first of all, i absolutely loved the pixel-art and just the general mood of the game : it reminded me of the older pokemon or zelda games ♡ does gb studio stands for gameboy studio ? im so curious about the software you used!
didn't have any issues to find the controls personally
maybe an additional message depending on where you tossed the coin to tell you either a good, bad, or a normal fortune could have brought a different experience for each players ! but its just an idea/ suggestion, i enjoyed the game overall, nice one !
Thank you for the kind words!
Yes, GB Studio is for making Game Boy games! It's really cool and I've been using it for a while to learn game development stuff and it's fun working within the limitations. I think you can download right here on itch!
I did want to add a little more flavor and text depending on the outcome of the coin flip/alternate endings based on the wells chosen and flips result, but couldn't quite get it to come together how I wanted to in time, so I left it to the imagination in the end lol!
Interesting game! I liked this interpretation of the limitation. The graphics are cool & really fit the game. Good job! :D
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Great art style, I love that you can change the color scheme with the [/{ key. Great job!
Had no idea it could even do that! Thanks for playing and teaching me something lol!
Fun but took a bit to figure out how to play
Thank you for playing!
This was sweet, and a fairly accurate simulation of what flipping a coin into a wishing well actually does. Nice work on this one ^^
Thanks for checking it out!
Its funny that I played again to make wishes IRL when Ive get the mechanic and purpouse hahahaha ty 4 this one :)
Sorry my mush brain forgot to add in controls! I use the arrow keys for movement and press z to interact with stuff and that's pretty much all you need. Edit: also if mobile is an option for you it should run in a mobile browser with game boy-like touch screen buttons.
Quick game, not quite sure what I did but the art style is soo cool, and its always a pleasure to salute the sun every once in a while as a programmer hehe
Thanks for playing and saluting the sun!
I was able to figure it out, you have to guide the arrow with WASD and then "click" with Z on the coins to throw them (at least in my case it's Z). Cool little experience! :)
Thanks for checking it out and providing controls when I forgot to! I appreciate it!
I wasn't able to get it working unfortunately. I love the pixel art, and the use of the gameboy colors!
Thanks, I appreciate you checking it out anyways!
I cant play the game :(
I made a post of above with the controls, sorry for the trouble! Thanks for trying!
I honestly couldn't play the game. No idea what the controls are.
I made a post above including the controls I forgot to add, thanks for checking it out anyways!
i wasnt able to get the coin to flip.
Sorry, completely slipped my mind to add controls in the description. I use the arrow keys to move and Z to click the wells and the coins. Thank you for checking out anyways though!
