I loved it, I'm sad to be so short, I really wanted to play more. It's simple and complex at the same time, I really liked the details like the cave's background and the effects of the blows. I just missed a button to close the game at the end and one to decrease the volume.
i like the concept very much and i would be happy to play it again if you make a long version of it.
Thanks!
I like the concept. The platforming part was a bit empty. The card battle was pretty nice. It would be awesome to have more card types.
Yea, I agree that the platforming was a bit empty, I only had about half a day to work on it, I would have loved to add trampolines, enemies traps, etc. But I ran out of time and I dint want to rush the card section and leave that unfinished. And I have a lot of card Ideas but I just ran out of time, I couldn't implement them.
Understandable, there was vevry little time to do what basically is a two-games-in-one-game.
nice, I really like the graphic…
just found some problem with keys control, consider reducing the delay press-reaction
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice little game I liked how made the two genres overlap ! Well done!
Thank you, it was an interesting thought process but I got there in the end.
Pixel art is very good and turn-based system is nice. There is a bug on jump sound. It is repeating when i try jump on air.
Man the pixel art is so great, the cards are amazing. very nicely done. the turn-based genre was so satisfying too.
Thank you so much, this was my first time at pixel art, I thought it turned out ok. I would have liked to add more cards to the second half but I ran out of time! I am glad you enjoyed the game.
Wonderful idea, could be a step up to a greater game! the pixel art in the 2nd part was heavy, but gameplay very fun! Missed some music and had nice sound effects. Very nice and fun jam-commision!
Thanks for playing it!I am glad you found it fun, but what do you mean the pixel art was heavy? Was it too blocky or too much of it?
yah to blocky in the last part, the wizards seemed to have the same amount of 'pixels' but were scaled up, i think then giving more 'pixels' to the art would've done it perfectly.
I loved the card-based battle system at the end!
Thanks!
It was cool, especially the second part of the game (strategic battle one). It was somewhat enjoyable.
Just replayed it! I am so glad you fixed that bug, I had a lot of fun playing the game! I especially liked the turn based combat and the impact of when you use a card! The platforming exploration was very fun too! The audio of this game is also very well done, some music might have been nice (but that's just a small thing in an already great game!) Overall, the game felt very polished and this is a great jam entry! PS The level design of the platforming felt very Hollow Knight-y (which is a good thing!)
Thanks for giving it another chance! I worked hard to get the right feel on the cards, and I like the compliment on level design, Hollow Knight is actually my favourite game at the moment, it is amazing and that compliment means a lot.
I really liked the graphics and the sound effects were nice! I couldn't continue after picking up a card, as it wouldn't go off the screen unfortunately! Also, the jump sound effect would play if I pressed space while in the air, I recommend having it play only when you can jump. If you know if there is a way past this, reply to my comment and I'll give it another go!
I am so sorry! there was a really annoying bug in unity that if you don't have it installed, it would not show the button even if I exported the game separately, however, I exported another version, 1.1 that has now fixed that bug, hope you can finish the game now!
Enjoy!
