I loved the game. Looks very simple, but it isn't at all. Great art and animations. Interesting usage of limitation. Amazing job :D
Thank you so much!
Honestly one of my favourite games of the jam. Well done.
Thank you so much!
Simple but fun game. Nice job!
Thank you!
The graphics are nice, and espcially I find the "Pause" side of your game really, really well thaught.
Thank you! I tried to take a "show, don't tell" approach and I think it paid off.
Nice colors and 2D art.
Maybe as she is always front looking you coud make her cross the road from top to bottom instead.
There are two game modes and some challenging moments, good job!
I don't know why the top-to-bottom thing didn't occur to me. Good point!
I'm glad you liked it!
The crime was almost too extreme for me. Great looking game
Thanks! I'm glad you could still handle such extreme crime!
Really nice and polished game! I'm impressed! Two game modes in a game jam is nutty. Absolutely one of my top picks of the jam. - Haley
Thank you so much! Someone had suggested an "Endless" mode in the comments for my last jam game, so for this one I thought "why not?"
Fun, but the game had somewhat consistent lag spikes for me. It ended my run many times right near the end :( But maybe it's just my browser, considering no one else seems to have this problem.
That's really odd, thanks for bringing it to my attention! Sadly I'm a little clueless as to why that might be the case, but I'll look into it and see if I can't fix it.
This game is incredible! I can tell you used your time making all of the sprites look really good! The game was hard but the mixture of the captions and the presentation made me keep going. I'm still stuck on level 8 but if I spent a few more hours i'll get through. (wait how long did I play this?)
I'm glad you enjoy the game so much. You can do it, I believe in you!
It's a simple concept, but very well executed. Like Frogger, but more relaxing. Nice art as well.
With a bit more content, this could easily be a fully-fledged game
Thank you so much!
Great art assest you got there! The gameplay feels right, snappy, fast, and smooth.
One small thing though, I feel like the sound track is slightly misleading to the atmosphere that could be created here.
You should consider adding the 'cars going by' sound to car objects, that way you will get the feeling of being in traffic. I think that would add so much to the experience. Then you don't have to have the slow guitar tune in the background, you can let the sound design and art speak for it self, which it can!
Another thing is the text at the top, use that to tell a story! Maybe add some whisper like sound effect when it is displayed, again to highlight that make it pop, I had forgotten all about it by the second stage.
You can do a lot of world building and atmosphere design with this, because you have put in the work, it just needs to feel real, you know, and it can feel real. You just need to help it a little! :)
Cheers
Thanks for the thorough feedback! We'll keep it in mind if we end up expanding the game.
Love the title screen art. The game itself is simple - and I love it ;)
Thanks! And yes, Pyromantic did a great job with the title screen art.
I really liked the concept and the execution
Thanks!
I can't beat #10 but my brain is fried after the Jam. Will come back fresh tomorrow.
Yeah, Section 10 can be real tricky. Good luck, you can do it!
Super hot meets Frogger is a super engaging concept weirdly enough, the music didnt get annoying so I stayed and finished the main mode. Restarting from the beginning is brutal but I was enjoying it enough that I persisted and the ending was worth it imo.
it was really fun!
Great work!
Thanks, and congrats on getting it to the other side!
