Cool game! I really love the 3d models of the world. The sound of the rain gives the game a really nice ambiance. Unfortunately I would rather spend more time in the nicely coloured 3d world as the puzzles are not as well finished.

Thanks for the comment! Just out of curiosity, did you beat the boss and not enjoy the puzzles, or did you get stuck on one of them? (I don't often make puzzle games and would love to know what part detracted from your experience)

Submitted

I couldn't finish the game mainly because I wasn't sure what I was doing. I think the puzzles were not really puzzles, rather a series of tasks you had to guess at to complete. IDK, just my perspective.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Every player is different, so there's no reason to discount your experience. I'll look at making things a bit more straightforward in the future. (Also if you ever feel the desire to re-try it and want a hint, I have ilPrinny's playthrough linked on the game page)

Good Game ! A art was nice.

Thank you, Spectral!

Really well-polished game. Even just the atmosphere outside of the actual game itself was great. The gameplay was short and sweet, which I can appreciate when it's thought out well like this. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't left wanting a little more though, but in a positive way. Great job on this!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed!

Amazing presentation, one of the most interesting concepts and definitely the best usage of the limitation I've seen so far. It manages to evoke so much immersion with the whole rainy day atmosphere, the old monitor and the feeling of playing games at night.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I really appreciate the comment! Trying to get that stormy night atmosphere was definitely a big focus for this jam (after the puzzle design, of course).

art, atmosphere, song, and also what a nice concept ! you have handle everything is handle nicely! I check game page and there is also prismatica that catch my eye, will play it when got time.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! (Also, as a heads-up, Prismatica is a little bit.. less polished haha)

I'm a big fan of the graphics, music and atmosphere ! I have yet to complete the game, but so far I liked the way progress is handled, it's very unique. Well done !

Developer

Ay thanks, I'm happy you liked the progression! Thanks for the play!

awesome visuals! i like the concept as well and the atmosphere is just fantastically built! it really gives off this "Pony Island" vibe. this game is, however, really tedious. i have no idea what the pay off is but having to go through the same thing over, and over, and over again moving at the pace of a snail just makes me not care at all. this has a lot of potential and could be a really good game, it just needs some tweaks on the design

Developer

Oh, the main mechanic of the game is what is referred to as "knowledge checkpoints". Once you receive new information, you no longer need to make the journey to get that information again, and by extension, can make much more progress. The game is built off of a series of these knowledge checkpoints so that you don't actually have to repeat any task more than once. I hope that helps without spoiling anything.

gotcha! thanks for clarifying :)

I love it! Great atmosphere with the art style and sound design. It bring me memories of playing old rpgs in rainy nights.

Congrats for the creation and finishing the Jam

Clever puzzles. Mellow music. The "framing graphic" is attractive, with a nice color scheme, and sets the mood and tone.

That said, I can't help thinking that a little bit of color inside the game area might have helped make the game easier on the eyes.

Also, the frequent power downs were so frustrating! Reminds me of a laptop I had 20 years ago. :D,

Thanks for the comment! (.. and sorry about the eye strain - blue light glasses may have made me a bit biased)

I had to watch a playthrough to get the boss, but it was a cute game! I was expecting fourth wall breaks like the MSG series, but that's fine. Good atmosphere, and the barrel shader on the screen was nice, but I wish the game was a little less subpixely. Regardless, nice job!

Developer

Thanks! I did play around with a pixel perfect camera, but it wasn't really playing nice with the screen's render tex :(

The barrel shader was worth it. Admit it <3

Developer(+1)

Oh the barrel effect is actually just a curved mesh lol (bit cheaty, I know).
