It was really fun to play, and pretty challenging! Playing it over and over to go through new paths is very addictive :D

That was amazing! I had lots of fun with your game. I especially liked the blood link mechanic! Linking one enemy while shooting at the other feels sooo good! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this game.

The use of the limitation was pretty neat and the mechanics we're incredibly fun.

Although I think the game is a little bit to easy, since there was no limitation to the draining power, it was still a really fun experience and that's what matters.

Thanks for playing.
Yeah it's probably too easy once you figure out the mechanics. I should have made the default attack cost less hp and the drain not heal as much to balance it better. But maybe its better this way for a game jam since more people can finish it.

I'm glad you liked it :)

Loved this submission. Just a great mechanic and some good exploration of it. While usability and clarity was not always strong, I think it didn't matter because I was have so much fun with the back and forth of draining and dodging enemies... I loved when I linked the blue guys they essentially become powerless... it feels great to have this back and forth.... I think you guys have something worth exploring here!

This was really, really great. It reminded me a little bit of the bacteria stage in Spore. The gameplay was solid and not overly complex, and parts of the level were difficult enough to have to resort to tactics but not impossible to overcome. I did find not having checkpoints to be a little annoying, but at least you respawn with all the upgrades! Artwork and music made for a somber, lonely atmosphere. Overall I'm impressed!

Amazing Game ! The Art is great and the mechanics are easy to understand but hard to master. I loved the fact that we keep all the upgrades when we die. Little improvements you could do :

The first time i played the game i didn't see the first chest, the game where therefore too hard and above all my hp bar doesn't appear ! Maybe make it more obvious or force the player to open it (or maybe i'm just dumb)

Every time i die i have to fight the same enemies, and i have to loose a lot of time before making any progress. Maybe make the enemies disappear, or create new checkpoints. It would be great.

An inventory where you can see all your upgrades could be amazing (I know that's the kind of thing you don't have time in a Game Jam)

The Game was enjoyable and really atmospheric, i loved it ! Have a nice day !

I'm glad you liked the game and thank you for the feedback!
These are all great suggestions. Unfortunatly I ran out of time to implement everything I wanted / more polishing. The plan at first was to make a large map with different areas and checkpoints but that was way overscoped for the limited time I had left. In the end I went for a smaller map with no checkpoints.

I agree that it is annoying to kill the same enemies over and over. I was thinking of making the enemies less likely to spawn depending on how many times they had been killed but idk, you can kill them faster once you get some items.
