This game is amazing! I have no clue how you put so much polish and thought into a game in 3 days, but it really feels great to play. I love the difficulty curve, (haven't beat rainbow guy yet) and the music is great! 10/10
Very fun! Couldn't beat the last one
Had a lot of fun playing this! Really addicting, and it is a game that you can master with practice. The music fits the game perfectly.
Absolutely amazing entry! So so much fun even tho I have yet to beat the last level, I plan to give it a bit more time (I GOT SO CLOSE). So Polished!
I Seriously had fun, it was hard but fun hard. I do enjoy hard bullet hell type things tho
If I had any feedback there is some small things:
The lives were kind of hard to keep track of, I would suggest stealing the idea from "Just Shapes and Beats" where the played shape is the health bar as well, since you will be you will be looking at the player from time to time anyways. (Its hard to explain what they do I recommend just seeing a video of it. But the gist is the player sprite changes based on lives by cutting the player into sections)
I would be so happy with a quick retry button, in games like this sometimes I would get hit then instantly want to retry, to do so here I have to hit tab - main menu - click level. Not terrible but hitting T or R to retry would be soooo nice.
Final small thing would be some sort of progress bar on how far you are / got. Maybe cuphead style where it is shown after death?
Thats... kind of the only things I would like to see. Your game is so great that those are the only changes I can think of, and to be honest considering the jam time, its unrealistic to have added those things.
Seriously if I could rate, I would give all 5s.
Congrats!
Thanks for the detailed feedback!
I've played "Just Shapes and Beats" as well.
I was considering a way to show level progress, exactly like in Cuphead, but as you can imagine, I didn't have enough time.
I'll try to improve it when I have time to do so.
Just so good. Amazing polish, amazing game, truly inspiring :)
Ok this is number 1 so why try harder? As other said, I would only add feedback (shake, re-scale, anything) when you hit the core. With that it would be super-satisfaying.
Loved this Although i am impartial because i love bullet hells
Super polished, feels like something you would pay $10 for. Amazing game
Most likely the best visual in the whole jam. Very polished and great concept. Two things that could be better, the visual feedback when I'm hitting the CORE and also the dificulty level.
fun!
This is straight up awesome! You guys did an amazing job! Well done!
Terrific job one of my favorites from the jam! Check out my review of your game at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1205991123 at 01:26:45
Love the vibe of this game
