A really adorable game! The royalty free music felt a bit too frantic for what feels like it should have been a more relaxed gameplay experience (I never played the inspiration for the jam entry) but overall I thought it was cute and a very creative choice for the jam!

Very interesting concept and I was really impressed with the AI and art. My only critiques would be that the sound was a bit annoying after a while and the gameplay was mostly just waiting for things to happen. I think there should be more for the player to do. However, this was a very wholesome, happy game and it was entertaining watching all the creatures move around and do their own thing to grow the world! Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback, yeah the AI part was the most interesting part about the game, credit for the art goes to kenney.nl :)
Yeah sadly I didn't have enough time for a better soundtrack, that's why I used an AI to generate one (with the annoying sideeffect of this voiceover which I didn't notice until after the time of the deadline^^)
Glad you like it :)
It's a interesting game, and mostly a Cute Game ! It's a very happy experience, good job ! :)
Thanks for the feedback :)
Yeah the soil would dry out if it isn't grown enough but it seems as if you managed to get into the positive feedback loop of growth (which wasn't 100% intended :D)
If worms are on a good soil and the come close to each other they have a chance to reproduce, the game would have needed a bit more infos for all the systems, sadly i ran a bit out of time :)
Actually the chance if they come close to each other on good soil is 1:20 and if they come close to each other on bad soil it is 1:40 also if they reproduce your placement counter goes up, also if you just placed them then they cannot reproduce instantly all of the animals have a lifetime and after an certain "age" the can reproduce, maybe i shouldn't have added this many systems without more informations to explain them better :D
But it is good to know that this is not that easy to do i guess i gotta try to make this a bit more controllable or predictable, at the moment the movement of the worms is also a bit random if it is not raining so it could also be a bit of bad luck^^
Pretty interesting concept, never got to grow any trees tho and everything started dying because i didn't really know how to play. Maybe i'm just stupid tho, anyway good job c:
Thanks for the feedback :)
It probably isn't you that is the problem and more that it currently is a bit hard to get trees going, given more time i would have liked to add more ways for players to influence the environment, if you want to see the trees i would recommend clustering the worms at the beginning this leads to better soil there and a higher chance for trees to spawn :)
