Well done, I really like the potential uses of the mechanic, also the soundtrack and the art are also quite good :)

Some feedback maybe, I sometimes had a bit of an hard time to control the second grab while I was in the air^^

Great result :)

The game was really well executed, the Grappling Hook was pretty easy to use and felt smooth.

Excellent job, altough the game is hard ( I only get to the first level XD), the mechanic is well defined and gives a lot of fun. I love the music, and the graphics are according to the type of game ( they remebers me to Speluky), Keep It Up!!!

Thank you so much for the feedback, its my first experience with designing sound for a game so hearing that you liked it is well appreciated and I'm glad you had fun!

Nice game, i like the art and theme of it. Although it was a bit difficult to read the instructions of the first scene :)

Developer

Glad you liked it! Definitely will make those more readable!

I liked this game, and managed to finish it! It was fun and challenging. But I think the learning curve for this game is too vertical XD
The first level was easy, then we have to deal with spikes and screen scrolling while thinking of a way to not die to the spikes.
But it's a solid entry, congrats! ^^

Developer

Yea, when passing this game around to friends, we had some who go it right away and some who couldn't make it pass the 2nd stage (Technically 1st stage, since the 1st screen is supposed to be like a little training area. Will definitely make some edits after voting). I'm glad the game isn't impossible, but definitely could put a stage or two in between the first, to introduce mechanics slowly. I'm glad you liked it and gave some feedback, thanks!

Decent game, but would benefit from seamlessly transitioning levels rather than switching abruptly mid-air and disturbing the flow!

That is definitely one way of handling camera movements. Thinking about the scope of this project early on, I didn't want to spend too much time on the camera controller, so I thought this would be the best way to progress a level and give players time to asses new screens and plan their next move. Perhaps a longer delay would help, either way thanks for the feedback!

Interesting concept, unfortunately with the combination of space and mouse clicks playing on a laptop is virtually impossible. I didn't get very far but really nice idea. I wish you had mentioned which mechanic you were adapting so I could better judge if you did that well.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yea, we did notice the issue with using a laptop track pad, but that was pretty far into the jam. We based this off the grapple mechanic used by the character Pathfinder from Apex Legends. I now realize we only mentioned that in the short description of the submissions page, my bad.
