Actually the chance if they come close to each other on good soil is 1:20 and if they come close to each other on bad soil it is 1:40 also if they reproduce your placement counter goes up, also if you just placed them then they cannot reproduce instantly all of the animals have a lifetime and after an certain "age" the can reproduce, maybe i shouldn't have added this many systems without more informations to explain them better :D

But it is good to know that this is not that easy to do i guess i gotta try to make this a bit more controllable or predictable, at the moment the movement of the worms is also a bit random if it is not raining so it could also be a bit of bad luck^^

Well done, I really like the potential uses of the mechanic, also I really liked the sound track and the art was also quite good for the given time :)

Some feedback maybe, I sometimes had a bit of an hard time to control the jump also it would have been cool if it was possible to jump after you are grapple to a wall :D

Overall really well done in the short time frame :)

Really well done, you really added quite a lot of mechanics to the mix :O I also like that the endboss was a planet :D

One thing that is probably a bug was that i didn't see the bunny :( only this red ball which seemed a bit out of place in relation to the other art^^

Quite the fun game and also quite the achievement that you did all of that in just 48 hours :)

Really solid base with quite some potential, I also liked the art and the sound :) As others have stated a bit more content would have been great, but given that there was a tight deadline I think you did a really great job in building a great foundation :)

One thing tho i would really have loved it if my speed kept increasing if i do an top and bottom portal loop :D

Well done in the given timeframe :)

Well done, I really like the idea and the potential of the idea, besides a few more animations the art and sound was also pretty well done :)

To give some feedback too, I was a bit confused by the mouse and keyboard controls, because it is stated that the gravity hook is on the right mouse button, but for me it was the left mouse button which had the gravity effect? :D maybe some mixup here? :)

Overall great job :)

Well done, I really like the potential uses of the mechanic, also the soundtrack and the art are also quite good :)

Some feedback maybe, I sometimes had a bit of an hard time to control the second grab while I was in the air^^

Great result :)

Wow I gotta say this is quite the impressive entry, really well done. At first I didn't think that there would be so much depth to the mechanic but as I progressed through the levels the game was actually quite challenging and engaging.

A small feedback maybe, I didn't initial understand that i could kick the enemies which took some until I noticed that.

Overall quite the fun game, really great result for 48 hours :)

Thank you I am glad you liked it, was quite a bit of work as a solo projekt :D but I will make sure to join the other jams too, they are always pretty fun and you learn a lot by doing them :)

Thank you for trying it out, yeah i also thought that it actually can work in 2D :) I am glad you liked it :)

Thanks for the feedback, and I am happy that you liked it :)

Yeah sadly this was a solo project and I didn't have enought time for a selfmade soundtrack and i only noticed to voice over after the deadline :D

Thanks for the feedback, yeah the AI part was the most interesting part about the game, credit for the art goes to kenney.nl :)

Yeah sadly I didn't have enough time for a better soundtrack, that's why I used an AI to generate one (with the annoying sideeffect of this voiceover which I didn't notice until after the time of the deadline^^)

Glad you like it :)

Thanks for trying it out, I am glad you liked it :)

Thank you for the feedback :)

Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah the soil would dry out if it isn't grown enough but it seems as if you managed to get into the positive feedback loop of growth (which wasn't 100% intended :D)
If worms are on a good soil and the come close to each other they have a chance to reproduce, the game would have needed a bit more infos for all the systems, sadly i ran a bit out of time :)

Thanks for the review :)

Yeah your right sadly i didn't have too much time left to make a better soundtrack myself and the tool i used adds this watermark voice which i overheard when i first implemented the sounds and then it was a bit too late to remove them once i noticed that :D

Thanks for the feedback :)

It probably isn't you that is the problem and more that it currently is a bit hard to get trees going, given more time i would have liked to add more ways for players to influence the environment, if you want to see the trees i would recommend clustering the worms at the beginning this leads to better soil there and a higher chance for trees to spawn :)

Pretty unique idea, I really liked it because it adds quite the interesting twist to an already commonly known game concept :)

Overall great work given the available time everything fits well together, the only remark/feedback I would have is if you have more time to try to adapt the mario to maybe make him fit more in with the tetris art style, but I am not 100% sure on this one because then the goal of the theme might not come out that well, besides that an ingame info about the controls would be nice if you add something as I didn't read the description at first :)

Well done :)

Well done, and also quite the good puzzle design, I also really liked the art style you were going for (even if I initially had trouble to see the water as water :D). Overall without too much of an tutorial you managed to make it easy to understand how the mechanics work without explaining too much to allow players to find out for themselfs :)

As others have mentioned WASD would have been better than the arrow keys :)

Overall quite the impressive entry given the limited timeframe :)

Hi would also love to get some feedback on my game/simulation :) was a solo project that was inspired by equilinox (quite an interesting indie game) :)

https://itch.io/jam/mix-and-game-jam/rate/499288

This really has quite some potential as others have mentioned, and I am quite impressed by how far you have actually gotten given the timeframe :)

In terms of visuals you really did a great job with the shaders/overall style quite impressive what you finished even if the game isn't completely done and given that it is no simple task to get the physics working for such a game :O

Would be interesting to see where you can take this game with more time :)

Really well done, you managed to make quite the innovative use of this mechanic in 3D, next to that you also managed to implement great visuals and a fitting soundtrack and even managed to make it seem as if the meat belongs in this environment :D

In terms of level design i must you created some really cool puzzels here, with more time and levels this really has some potential for an interesting fully developed puzzle game :)

Well done, really liked your game and even got one more energy than i needed to finish it :D

Gotta say you have done quite the job with the level design, you always kept me on the edge and just gave me enough bits of foreshadowing to know where i have to go next and where i could also look, generally the concept probably works quite well for also including certain secrets :D

To give some feedback too since there was a lot of walking back and fourth it would have been great to move a bit faster or to have more to do in between :)

Overall quite impressive entry for just 48 hours, well done :)

Really love the artstyle + the shader work you did in your game, if your willing i would be really interested in how you implemented the water effect on the stone balls (maybe your willing to share the source for the project/shader?) :)

Well done, to give also some feedback the normal jumps feel kinda unresponsive (this might be due to not being able to use left + jump at the same time?? at least it felt like it)

Besides that really interesting concept and with more levels this has the potential to be a great game, and you already managed to create a really good base game :)

Quite the interesting use of the crypt of the necrodancer mechanics, gotta say so far this one is my #1 in terms of creative use of an mechanic in another dimension :)

The art + soundtrack of the game are also really good :)

To give some feedback too, I am not sure if that was intended but i sometimes was able to move over a snake when i just jumped enough also how to taking in the bee confused me a bit since i jumped ahead and only saw the info with space, which caused me to click space which killed the bees initially, maybe something to improve upon :)

Overall great result given the limited timeframe :)

Really well done, I love it especially because you manage to make me think i probably cannot take over this thing and suddendly i am rolling flying tree :D
Generally very creative use of the mechanic in 2d :)

Also your team did a really good job with the art/soundtrack too they are quite great :)

To give some constructive feedback too, it would have been great to have different movement behaviour for different objects to allow for even more interesting gameplay, but I am not completely sure here because then the game probably wouldn't have been as funny as it is :)

Well done :)

Well done, really like the gameplay it allows for quite the skillfull gameplay, sadly I didn't have someone to play it with, but the mechanics are really solid and feel great while using it, also took me a bit to grasp how the cancel attack mechanics works :)

I also noticed a small bug when you kill the enemy then his bloodstream doesn't stop when the next round starts :)

Overall great entry, really love the simplistic art style of the characters which helps to focus on the relevant things while fighting :)

Would also love some feedback for my game, seeing as this is one of the most valuable parts of a jam and to get some input what should be improved upon in the next jam :) also happy to checkout and give feedback to some other games :)

Just checked out your game and left you some feedback, well done :)
My game would be:
https://itch.io/jam/mix-and-game-jam/rate/499288

Well done, I really like the concept especially changing dimensions looks really good :)

Some feedback, for the art it kind seemed like the character is always staring at the player while going right actually if you add more to it it might make sense to make the character look into the direction he is running :) After some hooks there is a big empty space below I am not sure if this was the end of the game or if I just missed something there? :D

Really well done given the timeframe and quite the interesting idea :)

Great entry :)
Really like the idea especially the changing goal positions, would have been great if the player with a disadvantage gets better enemy goal positions :D

In terms of art and visuals i really like the style you were going for, overall a great entry sadly i only was able to play it alone but besides some tweaking to the controls (driving back in the air was kinda tricky) I would say really well done :)

You really managed to make the mechanics of celest work and feel really good in 3D, but I gotta say for a jam entry this was a really impressive result well done :)

To give some feedback too, I think it would have been great to be able to save at another checkpoint again, i went out too far at one and then always had to backtrack to do something else, also a soundtrack would have been nice :)

Overall really great entry, I think you should expand this into a full game or mini game this has quite some potential :)

That was quite the funny game congrats, I really enjoyed the music/art style also your use of the theme was quite smart, the only feedback I would have is that some of the games could have used more engaging gameplay like the tetris one, this one was quite clever :)

Overall I am quite impressed how much you got done in just 48hours really great entry :)

Really great game, you did a really good job with creating innovative ways to use the mario mechanic and actually it's quite the good mechanic in 2D it works well and you really did a great job with designing some interesting levels :)

Only feedback would be to maybe make the jumps feel a bit more responsive at times, other than that I really think you should expand on the concept could become a really cool 2D platformer :)

Gotta say, this one is one of my favourites in terms of using existing mechanics to create new and innovative ways to play, you really did an great job with leading through the different mechanics and introducing more and more challenging ones as time goes on, as others have said would have been nice to add more polished art, but on the other hand the presented art is more than enough to create a fun game :)

Only remark would be sometimes it is a bit hard to estimate where you are going to jump to next especially if it is offscreen maybe a way to peek ahead or some other solution would have been great here.

Overall really good work given the time constraints :)

Really well executed, I really like how you transformed beatsabre into 2D and it works better than expected :)

One remark might be sometimes it feels as if i swang right but i still miss the combo, maybe it is just me not doing it right? :D but besides that really great game and well done given the time constraints :)

Gotta say that's quite the impressive entry, and a really innovate use of the trace mechanic :)

Also you did a really good job with introducing the different mechanics, quite impressed that this was done in two days :)

Pretty nice entry :) I was quite impressed on how much you actually put into the game, I really like the idea of building your own spacecraft in 2D didn't think that it could work that well :)

One point to improve might be to add more infos ingame what the different parts actually do and how they affect things, besides that really great entry :)

Really cool concept i like it, quite well executed :)

sometimes it is a bit hard to control/predict what will happen and where I will move, also the quit button at the center cause me a few times to accidently quite, maybe an are you sure dialog would have been good.

Great entry, looking forward to where you take this concept :)

Thx for the input, yeah i ran a bit out of time my ultimate goal was to make this more controllable with a bit more time i might have been able to do it, at the moment only the worms repopulate automatically (you should see hearts if that happens, generally if they are close to each other there is a chance for it to happen). If it happens you get additional worms you can place :)

So at the moment it is possible but a bit hard to do, the best strategy to do it is just to spawn worms at one location at the moment, which I would change in future updates^^
