Solid work. tough to tell if enemies are getting hurt, and easy to get lost since there's no actual doors. The sound balance is also a bit odd with the sounds being much much louder than the music, as well as random confusing sound effects playing from unknown sources at times. Good work!
I wish their was a minimap and some particle effects. Great game! :)
One of the best 3D games this jam. Movement felt pretty good and the only thing I was missing was either a map or different wall textures for orientation. Got lost once or twice
Cool game, it was fun to play! The only downside is that the enemies hurt you too fast, and since the camera feels a bit weird it's hard to run away, thankfully food is abundant.
Probably the best 3D game I've played this jam, it could use a bit more player feedback when hitting enemies and controls could be tighter but overall an awesome game!
Thank you for playing!
Good level design. Could see hints of old school Doom games in there. Really enjoyed the movement and the gun sound was satisfying too. Some player knock back or invincibility frames would give the player a better chance to react to taking damage and make it more of a teaching opportunity. Otherwise, good job!
Good attempt but a bit hard to play, choppy. Never sure why I died.
The game looks great. I loved the use of lights around the level. Had fun playing it.
Thank you for the feedback it's really appreciated, glad you enjoyed it!
Damn nice design^^
Enjoyed playing it alot. Felt amazing to hop around at great speeds.
Great work locking the mouse ingame, would've been a nightmare to use otherwise lol.
Now for feedback :
Was fun to wander around and destroy the ennemies.
Though i wish there was more variety, but hey it's a gamejam lol.
Game felt also well polished^^
Only complaint is that checkpoints would be appreciated lol.
Great work!
Really glad you enjoyed playing, cheers!
Cheers^^
Nice level design, really could have used a reticle and more visual feedback when stuff happened, like bombs being placed or switches changing colors.
Thanks for playing and the feedback :)
Really liked it, game play could've really benefited from some sort of visual effects (unity particle system) and a crosshair would've made it a lot more enjoyable to shoot. Great job man!
thank you! :)
What a fun game to play , reminds me of the old amiga days !
Thanks! :D
Enjoyed the fast movements, gunplay felt good. The ghosts sounded like cats, so +1 for that. :D I see you had the same issue with vertical movement of the camera as I did...given you can spin 360 on the axis. I ended up locking out the vertical movement part entirely because of time constraints. Enjoyable game, just wish there was a checkpoint at the teleporter as enemies tend to melt your health pretty quick! :)
Cheers for playing! Yeah the camera was a pain lol and we ran out of time :( (as with checkpoints), glad you enjoyed what you could though
Neat game. Movement felt nice. Having a crosshair is really important - you mentioned you wanted an old school FPS style feel, but those old school FPSes either didn't have vertical movement with their look direction, or they learned very quickly that lacking a crosshair led to a really poor player experience.
I actively avoided health pickups when I could because hearing someone chewing what sounds like an apple right in my ear makes me want to murder everyone in my general vicinity. Some iframes after being hit would have been nice. If an enemy got in range to hit me once, they'd usually hit me three times in a row.
I wholeheartedly apologise for the eating sound haha. It was a super last minute sound effect I made myself with a carrot... a lot of the sound effects online just weren't what we wanted. It seems we really missed the mark with the crosshair so it'll 100% be something we will implement if we take this project further. Thanks for playing!
Lots of really fun features, loved dual weilding the staffs and guns, the cooldowns are a little slow given how fast you walk but the movement was really comfortable. Also add some kind of a crosshair as well as a cooldown on that first pistol (I never switched from it.) That being said it was a really fun game and I enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks for playing and the feedback. Sadly regarding the guns the shotgun and machine gun originally shot faster but due to a memory issue with Unity we didn't have time to look into it and it made them super sluggish and not very fun to use. Cheers!
No worries, I get it, It was still a lot of fun anyway so nice job
Pretty cool idea and it has a lot of content for a jam game! Would love to play a more polished version.
Thanks for the really positive feedback, we definitely took on way more than we should have for our first game jam. We're definitely considering polishing the game up after the jam, cheers!
The dungeon looks great, it would be nice if I could see where i'm shooting.
Thanks for playing and the feedback. A crosshair was heavily debated between us. As we were going for the classic FPS feel we thought a crosshair may have taken away from it. We'll take it into consideration if we improve the game after the jam, cheers!
Fun dungeon crawler. Although, I reaaaally missed some visual effects for the explosion wand, seeing some projectile, explosion and shaking would be very satisfying. Cheers for the effort!
Thanks for playing and your feedback. We were actually going to add a small bomb projectile from the wand but like many other things just didn't have the time. The screen shake however is something we didn't even consider, thanks for the suggestion.
ikr, so many things we need to cut to be able to deploy
all the best
Very interesting idea and a fun game to play :-)
Thanks for playing!
