I feel that the game could have made the control scheme known to the player, in addition to the overall objective.
I like the overall concept. Just needs some tweaks, such as more frequent upgrades, a more diverse set of enemies, etc.
How does your game fit the theme?
It revolves around Connor cycling (and getting lost)
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 4 days?
Did your team create the vast majority of the music during the 4 days?
Requiring an installer is a bit weird for a jam game. The game itself was fun, but it would be nice if upgrades were found more often, maybe linked to how many enemies you kill?
Sadly won't be able to play your game, safety settings on my PC won't let me run an installer (I am not an admin on this PC :p)
Background was blue for me, so it was a bit of a bummer. Overall a pretty solid game, but I feel it could've benefitted a lot from a faster player character and far more common upgrades.
Had to install the game which was odd, I recommend next time setting up Browser based. I liked the controls and the power up system is a nice touch. Was hoping for a boss at the end but I get it was only 72 hours. Anyway the fun simple game.
Powerups seems to be very rare (maybe I was just unlucky), I only got one once in the last level, so I couldn't even really try it out even though it added some variation to the game. Appart from that the game was fun, and I liked that you animated Connor on his bike, made the game more dynamic.
You should put input instructions on the submission page, i figured it out by myself but i feel like the other people might find this very difficult.
Nice game btw
Background didn't work for me unfortunately, everything was blueeee
Shame there was only one type of enemies
yeah the blue bg is something that used to happen consistently
From the other comments it looks like we did manage to fix some of the cases with out last minute fix(like 5h before the jam ended, but it was 1am for us)
A shame it didn't work for you but thanks for playing!
We originally planned on multiple types of enemies but given the fact that we didn't even have the time to make the monkeys look where they move(just a rotation). It was obvious to us that we didn't have the time for more enemies.
I'm not sure if I did something wrong but the game only had like 2 screens and I couldn't figure out where to go after killing all the monkeys on both screens. I didn't see any big tree like in the screenshots earlier. Maybe it was just me.
the trees are randomly placed.
There are bridges on both sides of a room to go back and forth(just the right one on the first room, cause you can't go back from there), they look weird cause they were painted and then we realized they were barely visible, but like the purple mess at the edges are "doors"
