It was losely based on a story my grandma told me, which she heard in her small country side town when she was little. She recently passed away so I dedicate this game to her.

Don't worry, thank you for playing it! Super happy you enjoyed it :D and yeah, the character doesn't even doubt it, maybe she was told some stories by her mom, who is also missing a limb? Who knows? Haha
Amazing! I like the graphics, they look so stylish and bright. The story is quite interesting too, it made me feel emotions. And the music fits pretty well. In the end it created impressive mood of shock and feeling of making some awful, irreparable mistakes (talking to strangers, haha)
The most shocking part for me was probably the last task from the birdie. Didn't expect Clara was ready to go that far o.o
The flow of the story made me want to change something, so it's sad that player has no choice. I would like to see some alternative endings or something like that. Also noticed that the game doesn't record if you take items (like the flame, the flower etc.), so you can leave the location without taking them and the story will just move on. And there was I hoping it would be a plot-changing choice, eheh
But overall I enjoyed playing this game, nice storytelling! And Clara is such a sweet character. I loved her casual reactions xD
Good work!
Thank you so much for playing and for you very in depth comment, I really appreciate it!
I did wanted to implement and inventory system, but sadly didn't have enough time to do so! This time I decided to not have much choices, since this is the story we wanted to tell and it was designed that way. I'm all in for player choice, but sometimes it hurts the story and that's why this decision was made, but yeah would love to play with the idea! Thanks again :)
Hohohohhh my, this took a turn that I wasn't expecting. Sure, things did appear a bit sinister, but still... And the very last bit was even more surprising. Oh, sweet little Clara...
I love the contrast with the cute style of the graphics and the speech sounds. A great piece of work, overall!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for playing our little game, really glad you enjoyed it and it could surprise you too :)
And that is why you don't talk to fae, lol.
Jokes aside, a very fun little story! I knew there would be some sort of betrayal but the nature of the twist still took me by surprise. Good job!!
That's the true moral of the story, yes hahaha. Thank you so much for playing, I really appreciate it! I'm glad the twist was a surprise :)
So, I liked where this was going, including the story and the aesthetic. I was looking forward to a big turn in the narrative (which, judging from the comments, there is) but I just couldn't get past the dark cave part. It could just be my poor skill, but it seemed like I just didn't have enough time to react given how small the field of vision is. If it was meant to be challenging, you succeeded!
Anyway, overall I think you did a good job, and maybe I'll try again sometime.
Thank you for playing! Just get gud lol. Jokes aside, I can see it being pretty challenging, but the AI is not as smart as you might think, and your character runs faster than the enemies, so there's always a chance to run even if they're just about to hit you.
lol I haven't been gud for many years my friend ;-) But seriously, I did like the game enough that I probably will come back to it after I get through some of the other jam submissions.
Just joking! Thank you, I hope next time you can do it. Another tip I can give you is to try to avoid enemies downwards, since the collision is bigger at the top :)
We worked hard on this. I'm proud of the results and i'm proud of the team, too.
I hope people enjoy it!
I'm proud of you too! ^-^
Wow! I really liked this. It looked beautiful, and in the first part, exploring the environment really transported me to another place and time. I then felt very satisfied by figuring out the two challenges. At the end, I like how the mood changed so quickly. I found it shocking and sad, and I liked the contrast between the initial environment and the environment in the final scene. What an experience! :)
Thank you for playing and your kind words! So glad it made you feel something :D
Pros
Cons
Overall: amazing game, with fantastic pixel art, an amazing soundtrack, and a really dark but interesting story!
I'm sorry about your loss, I also lost my grandmother (as well as my grandfather) not so long ago, so I understand what you must be going through.
I'm sure she would be proud of your work and being able to turn the story she told you into an amazing game!
Thank you so much for playing! And thanks for the kind words I really appreciate it :) as for the bug, it's weird because I haven't been able to replicate it, but when we were testing it also happened once, I thought it was because of bad internet connection that doesn't allow the song to load so it crashes the game, but I'll definitely look more into it, thank you!
Really awesome game!! I love the art and atmosphere, the music sets the mood perfectly and story is very engaging with a really nice twist. Fantastic work from the team!!
Thanks for playing! So glad you enjoyed it :D
