Description
Action-adventure where the main character's best friend is killed during a raid on their village. She makes her way through the woods away from the raiders in order to gather herself and find supplies so she can go back and get revenge.
Message from the artist:
I only left myself two days to get this done, yikes.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The main character is a runaway from home, only coming back when she realises her mistake. Unfortunately, she is too late.

This is very impressive for how quickly you composed it.
The main theme and “It Wasn’t Supposed to Be Like This” are both solid and atmospheric, you really capture the mood you’re looking for
I admit it doesn’t all work for me. I felt like most of the tracks went on a little too long before new elements were introduced, or before they finished. And sometimes, like the upper piano part in Swamp, when they entered I felt like they could have done more to enhance or recontextualise or change what had come before.
But given the constraints you were working under, this is really solid and polished work.
This OST has a great atmosphere and captured the theme really well! I really liked how you used the rhythmic synth in 'Swamp' and how the track builds up over time. Very impressive you managed this in such a short space of time, well done!
Thank you! That rhythmic synth was made using Prophet V3 from Arturia (they sell it as Prophet V now). Tried going for a "bubbly" sound since, ya know, swamp.
Nice take ! The theme is super cool, the only thing I would change is the piano punches that feel too intense since its like playing chords on lower end with the base drum at the same times its clashing a bit. On the run is a nice idea although after 2 min I wanted something more, go elsewhere but you kept doing the same thing a little variation would be nice. Some tracks I don't know if that was your source of inspiration but I feel like the movie Dune was something you incorporated. Good job !
Thanks for the feedback! Dune wasn't on my mind while making this but I wouldn't be surprised if it had some unconscious effect on me since I do really like that soundtrack.
Well done! Great job getting all of this done in 2 days! My favorite was probably "To The Bitter End"!
Thank you! (I think that one might be my favourite too lol)
In 2 days and so many tracks?! Impressive! I liked It Wasn't Supposed To Be Like This as I really feel the emotion, I'm guessing this would play when the MC's friend is killed.
Thank you! I was actually inspired by the track "Rite Of Passage" from the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack for "It Wasn't Supposed To Be Like This". It had a really dreadful feeling of "everything has gone horribly wrong" that I really enjoy.
Very atmospheric. On the Run captures the atmosphere perfectly. My heart rate increased just by listening. Great use of those low piano notes, very menacing.
Nice contrast between tracks. Each one has its own feel.
Thank you! Ngl I'm a bit of a sucker for low piano notes lol.
Nicely done, you've managed to make some really solid tracks here which I can imagine playing in the background of your game. I particularly liked how everything combined in 'Hope' to form a really expressive piece.
Thank you! I'm honestly a little surprised with how "Hope" turned out since it was the one I spent the least amount of time on. I'm glad you liked it!
I see you went for the "at least 30 minutes" submission requirement lol. I can't believe you did this in only two days, you could have stopped at the main theme but no, you went above and beyond, props to you! I loved every single track, the atmosphere, the instrumentation, everything. I only can wonder what would you do with 3 days...Very well done!
Thank you! I wish I had given myself the full week to work on it, even now there are bits I would've changed and added had I had the time. I'm glad it still turned out okay.
