Description
Chosen genre: Ambient.
What kind of game: retro RPG / exploration.
What does it represent: years of my dad's deep sea diving tales and both the title and picture used for the composing jam.
What tools were used: The DAW is FL Studio. Tools used include Serendipity Pads, Crystal Bowls, Chamber Evolutions, Flex, Sakura, Solar, and LABs.
The image used for my track is from a photograph I took, and no AI generation was involved for the image.

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
My dad was a deep sea diver for decades, and this track is an attempt to combine his sense of exploration with the nautical themes / suggestions inherent in the Jam image, which I took as my starting point.

Mesmerizing...

Really, the overall combination of musical texture, the fullness of the composition itself...

Incredible atmosphere and texture! You've absolutely nailed the feeling of a deep sea expedition. This belongs up there with tracks like those from ABZU or Endless Ocean.

I'm a digger when it comes to ambient and textural music, I had a great time listening to this, thanks for sharing ! Really feeling the sea depth and the dreamy atmosphere in this one.

Although I admit I prefer melodic tracks, it does very well its job portraying the deep sea theme.

Really nailed the phantasmal feeling you where aiming for. Like swimming in a kelp forest with the light glistening around. Great ambience with a very fitting soundscape.

Day 4 of Rating Submissions With Few Ratings to Hopefully Get Some In Return

Good vibes and bubbly sounds. The track portrays a good amount of width, refusing to be too directional - ideal for the deep sea diving theme you mentioned. I enjoy that the production has a lot of higher pitched sounds, but manages to not have them be ear piercing by the way they are shaped. Good underwater tune.

Just beautiful! I could imagine this being in something like ABZU. Love the panned sparkly bells especially

A beautiful piece, lovely and relaxing and atmospheric! I loved the little touch of the waves for extra texture.

Your world is a very chill place! Makes me wanna just close my eyes and drift off. Great full composition, well done

This was super high quality! It felt like a movie score which was really cool and also your dad being a deep sea diver made it feel more real so it added to the ambiance.

An ambient hidden gem, for sure. Happy to be the first comment here - I think you did a great job with this. Everything is woven together so well and the piece progresses beautifully. I could find myself coming back to this to try and learn more about ambient music. I can imagine this being heard in a variety of games - it fits the bill for underscore perfectly. Great work, and best of luck!
