Description
This soundtrack is orchestral with electronic elements, and it is meant for an RPG story game. Seeing as the girl in the image theme seems to be wearing a kimono, I took heavy inspiration from Hiroyuki Sawano, my favorite Japanese composer, and I used BandLab as my DAW.

Message from the artist
This was my very first time participating in an OST Composing Jam, and I had a blast! Of course, I may or may not have lost my cool a bit when my DAW crashed for an entire day because of come cloud errors, but we can ignore that part.

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The atmospheric elements of the soundtrack and the breaths I incorporated make the music sound very intimate, as if you were listening to what it sounds like 'inside someone's world'. To fit the image, I added some bubble effects, and I made the music have a dream-like feel to it.

Lovely track, there is a lot going on here with the transitions, different instruments coming and going, etc. The swells are powerful, the overall progression of the song is very dynamic. A fun listen, nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I tend to listen to OST's that end up being really dynamic, so they are definitely rubbing off on my style of composing.

Super relaxing composition!

Beautiful harmony and your choice regarding combination of sounds.

WONDERFUL WORK!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I've been trying really hard to get better at harmonies, and I've spent quite a lot of time getting familiar with BandLab's sounds, so it means a lot!

This was such a fun track to listen to that set a great tone for the game you imagined - thank you for sharing!

Heh... I did feel like I was very close to someone's inner world. As if I were an uninvited listener who had the opportunity to learn what was going on inside the world of another very precious person.... Definitely beautiful!

Developer

Thank you do much! I'm glad that you got that feeling from the music!

the breathing to imply being really close to someone as in their world is both funny and effective!

Developer

Thank you! I've heard OST's incorporate whispers layered underneath vocals, and I thought that was a neat idea, so I translated it into the next best thing I could think of!

Your sound design was spot on! The beginning really screams Omori to me which is awesome. I love how sparkly and bubbly the atmosphere of the piece is. Good work!

Developer

Thank you so much! I haven't played Omori before, but I'll definitely give the OST a listen now!

I liked the breathy sounds used at the opening, unique choice but it worked very well! Overall, I feel like you did a great job representing the theme!

Developer

Thank you! I've listened to a lot of OST's that have whispering layered under the main vocals to make a more intimate atmosphere, but since I didn't have any vocals, I decided on just adding those breaths.

Really liked this, impressionist in some way! Great job!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Thank you! I listen to a lot OST's that definitely have impressionist influence, so I'm glad that my influences came through here! (edit: spelling)
