Description
This music is for a 2D platformer.

The first track is a representation of the main character's home.

The second track represents the first journey away from home on the epic quest.

There's a long journey ahead. Cue Long Journey Blues.

I used Lovely Composer.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
I've used 'world' in my title.

I like the idea of technical limitations... and it sounds organic! I like it!

The Continued Quest to Rate Albums with few Ratings To Hopefully Get Some In Return

I frankly do not know what lovely composer is, but I will assume that its limitations informed the writing of this? There is something quaint, at times enjoyably simplistic to the writing, like a simple flash game from the early 2000s set in the clouds. I do think some of the chirpy synths tone are a bit harsh, holding this submission back.

Sometimes when you hear hours and hours of epic orchestral or insane synth-driven electronic music, it's nice to just fall back into the simpler times of childhood. That's what this submission did for me. Nice work!

Love the name - really clever!

These made for a fun listen, a fun throwback to simpler times in game soundtracks. Nice choice of waves and some solid melodies. Also gave Cloud Girl a listen though it isn't part of the original SC link. Good job, and congrats on the submission!

The first chord in and I thought it was gonna play the steven universe intro (:

I hadn't heard of that show until I read your comment. Very good theme tune.

While the melodies are interesting, there needs to be far more movement in the harmony in order to hold the listeners' interest. However, it is a nice chiptune soundtrack and the production is sufficient. Good work!

Good job! I felt the submission was a little static. I think moving away from mostly block, sustained chords and adding some more movement would help a lot. Drums would be awesome as well.

Great ideas all around but left wanting more variation and a fuller sound in some areas.

Good job! I agree with Zephyr that I definitely wanted more. Some more variance or even drums would be a cool idea, though a minimalist soundtrack was probably what you were aiming for  :) It sounded great

Thank-you.

I originally wrote a track called Cloud Girl, which was removed by SoundCloud. I didn't get it back until after the jam was over.

Nice minimalist chiptunes. Cloud World is so evocative. I enjoyed the repeating descending melody at the end. I found myself wanting a bit more variety from the droning saws-- right when long journey blues ended i thought maybe there'd be some drums. I wanted more!

Oh yeah this is a nice addition. Nice melody/arpeggio combo
