Description
My composition for the OST Composing Jam 7 itch.io/jam/ost-composing-jam-7
I wanted to creatw something cheerful, light-hearted -using orchestral instruments and lots of percussion - but with interesting rhythms given by the time signature variations.
The Game:
Children, when becoming adults, have their dreams stolen and kept away from them. They will have no memory of the dream or of the fact that there was once a dream. Dreamless, they will begin the dull adult life, unaware that they can hope and fight for what they once desired.
Prelude
:
This is the opening track of the soundtrack. It is about the protagonist unexpectedly having a dream. Once there is confusion, then happiness. Once awake, the protagonist wants to know what the dream means.
My Enclosed Dream:
The protagonist casually hears the village's old fool, talking about dreams. The old man is considered a fool because he attempted to chase his dream once he became an adult. Nobody would believe him, and he also did not know what the dream exactly was. He was regarded as a lazy person for wasting time behind his dream instead of working a regular life. The protagonist is fascinated by the story, but is not fully convinced. The protagonist decides to invastigate
Leap Into the Oneiric Bubble
The protagonist finds out about oneiric bubbles, which are thought to be the places where dreams are enclosed. They now have to find, chase and jump into the bubble

The percussion helps to create some really interesting atmosphere here. Love how "Prelude" progresses in a way that I definitely was not expecting. The percussion certainly keeps things varied throughout the soundtrack, creating a unique overall soundtrack. Great work!
So, what do we have here...
interesting flirting with wind instruments, atmospheric and exciting panning effects and...
PERCUSSION!?! I LOVE PERCUSSION!!!!!1!
In general, you have a very beautiful, beachy (?!) and curious soundtrack... I liked it!
Thank you!
P.S. Because of you, I now wanted to relax in hawaii
Love your use of mallets in Leap Into the Oneiric Bubble. This is a very interesting submission! Percussion throughout was on point and really ties everything together. Well done!
I like how the second track ended with the same beginning as the third track.
Love the percussion, adds a unique sound to your tracks. Leap Into the Oneiric Bubble was my favorite, the harmonic progression was interesting!
Oh oh oh that was interesting tracks and really creative with those rythms !
Beautifully crafted soundtrack, well done!!
Great use of rhythm & percussion, especially the more unusual metallic percs. Very nice instrumentation and melodies too.
Establishes a unique and coherent vibe throughout that feels very much like a game soundtrack but one with its own identity.
A very unique and memorable soundtrack. I particularly enjoyed how you conveyed the abstract nature of dreams and the different, distinct emotions you feel when experiencing one.
